Blog

Tonight I thought I’d share with you a couple of todays Beaufoix babe moments that made me smile.

We’re sat together having tea.

We do this every night.

I’m really glad we do as it’s a really good time to catch up and actually just talk to each other, or gage each others moods.

Anyway, tonight Miss E (who will be 7 on Sunday) asked a funny question.

Miss E: “Where’s cognito?”

Ahh bless her, it was one of those moments where Mr B and I couldn’t help but laugh, and although Misses E and M didn’t get why, they got the giggles too.

Miss E was all embarassed in a cute way, and between guffaws Mr B was saying, ‘Sorry E, we’re not being mean, it’s just, ahhhh heh heh heh’.

So we explained and she grinned and we carried on and now Miss E knows what ‘incognito’ means.

It makes sense really when you think about it, but it was still kind of funny.

Miss M’s bedtime antics soon sobered me up though.

Above her bed, before she was born, I painted cartoons of Mr B, Miss E, and myself, with our names, and the words, ‘My Family’ written above.

It’s really simple, just these round heads, that were meant to be peering over her cot smiling at her.

She looked at it tonight and pointed at the picture of me and said,

Miss M: “Dat de round Mummy”

Me: “Yes M, the faces are round aren’t they.”

Miss M: (pointing at the picture again…) “Dat de round mummy.”

She then turns and points at me,

Miss M: “An dat de square Mummy.”

Hmmmmmmmmmm…

I actually signed up for virb, just so I could leave a comment. It looked a little lonely over here. “Square Mummy” killed me. A couple of years ago, TFYO peered down my top and said “What ya got down there, Mom?” While my husband collapsed in a fit of laughter on the floor, I explained they were breasts. She thought for a moment and then proclaimed, “Well…they’re HUGE!!!” Thankfully, she only told four other people that. LOL We’ll all be glad to see you back at your regular place soon, Jo!

Kids are so funny, they just say what they see.
We were at the park today and a little girl informed me that I had chicken pox, when in fact I have a big hormone induced zit on my chin.
Oh the joys.

Ashley says I should be back up and running by the end of the week and I can’t wait.
