Hooray AWARDS time.
Awards Part I
You all know this bit but I thought I’d add it anyway to big up the fab creator of these beautiful awards.
There are five distinct awards in the series created by Writers Review’s , intuitive, creative and most thoughtful blogger herself, Christy Zutautas.
There is a specific description for each award listed here, along with the award rules.
Writers Reviews has created a way to honour the bloggers we admire in a personable way on an individual basis, that frees us to celebrate each blogs unique contribution.
On August 9th Ingenious Rose awarded me with another Creative Blogger award.
Thank you so much IR.
So now I get to give out 5 more…
1.
This is for the lovely Miss Despina for her beautiful descriptions of the sights, sounds and tastes of Prague and its surrounding areas.
Prague is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit and Miss Despina gives just a glimpse of the amazing history, music and culture that can be found out there, as well as a peep at the pondlife.
2.
This is for the fabulous Bellevelma at Running with Books who just writes so well. She is funny, warm and articulate and can really tell a good story. Have a read if you haven’t yet. Fantastic.
3.
This is for Corey at Living and Loving Every Minute of It for the thoughtful comments I’ve seen over at Bellevelma (Running with books) site which made me take a peek at her and find this gorgeous post about reading with your kids. It reminds me so much of mine and Miss M’s relationship with books and their importance in our lives.
4.
This is for Elsie Button at Flower Fairies and Fairy Cakes whose site I have visited through one of my real life, and blog buddies, Ingenious Rose. Elsie’s tales about the antics of little Betty bring back wonderful memories of Miss E and Miss M, and always inspire me to go and spend time with my little girls as they grow so fast.
5.
I’ve had this blog in my ‘blogs I like the look of folder’ for a while but what with holidays and exploding blogs etc. I didn’t get any further.
Reading Vicky at The Mummy Chronicles latest posts has me in awe of her. She’s recently had some health problems and the way she writes about it all is inspiring and funny too!!
She also likes to write, has a toddler and makes me laugh.
Awards II
My lovely friend RC at Confessions of a Rotten Correspondent has awarded me with this…
which I can now pass on to three other bloggers,
Her site is full of useful and interesting links and her post on Madeleine McCann marking 100 Days since her disappearance was simple and moving. She is funny, self deprecating and warm and I think she’s fab.
I love her lots.
2. Bellevelma at Running with books . She is just awesome. Her tales about Snags make me laugh out loud, and she’s intelligent and so, so funny. I like the way she looks at life. And she’s funny.
Did I say she was funny?
3. And the final award goes to ‘Twas Brillig who is a blogging genius. She’s funny, writes well, and is articulate and generous.
She also hands out Perfect Post Awards with the gracious permission of Suburban Turmoil and bestows them on an unsuspecting blogger every month which means she also finds the time to read loads of other blogs, and well, she’s just a bit of an awesome blogger really.

Post bit…
Akelamalu at Everything and Nothing recently did a post on a post by David at Authorblog , and it sounded fun so I thought I’d join in. I’ve even done a similar layout as she just did awards too. Promise I’m not copying…well ok, I attempted to copy the line before her ‘ALSO’ bit, but I am about as technically able as a small crab.
Anyway, here’s what David said……
Dump And Dumper
Here’s some weekend fun for us to share. Every weekend, starting today, I’m going to ask you one simple question. Answer the question on your own blog, any time until Friday. Please link to this blog (or to this post) just so I can follow the progress of the notion.
And the question is:
What would you like to say to the girlfriend or boyfriend who first dumped you?
Me at 17…M, I know we weren’t going to be together forever, but it would have been nice if you’d waited till after you dumped me before you got together with somebody else you git.
Me now…
Hi M, thanks for being the perfect first boyfriend.
I’m sure most people in school thought that you and I were a weird mix, but you were always a complete gentleman with me (apart from that last bit which stuck in my mind for quite a while.)
It still would have been nice if you’d waited till after you dumped me before you got together with somebody else you git.
Ahh, that feels better.
Now I’m going to enjoy a bar of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk and a bubblebath.
Don’t stay up too late partying all of you, or I will send Misses E and M round to jump on you in the wee small hours.

OH MY! I am feeling certainly VERY honored by your award, and your kind words.
Thank you! You made my day!
I have tried in the past to link over to you from Bellebelma, but I think you were having technical difficulties. I am happy to finally see your blog and will be back.
Thank you again for the award. I am thrilled.

Oh, shoot. I’m afraid I can’t accept the blame for the perfect post awards–they are actually a creation of Suburban Turmoil’s, and she graciously allows me to play along each month.
But, I’ll take “genius” “articulate” and “funny”! hahahahaha. Thanks so much for thinking of me!!!

MMMMM. Dairy Milk bars. I can find them only at specialty shops. Eat some of that for me, please. I miss Cadbury chocolate.
August 23rd, 2007 at 3:36 pm
Corey, you’re welcome, and yes, I’ve had an exploded blog for a few weeks but hopefully I’m back to stay now.
Brillig, ah well, you’re still spreading the lurve. I’ll amend my post so Suburban Turmoil gets a mention too.
All the rest is true.
Jen, Dairy Milk is gooooooooood.

Oh Jo you are such a darling giving me an award. I am such a grumpy old negative ‘life is rubbish’ bad attitude git at the moment that my blog really isn’t ‘up to standard’. I love you too, as does IJ. She loves you, Miss E, Miss M and last night she said she loved Mr B alittle bit. But that has changed today. She is now including Mr B in the list of people she loves. Ah Bless!

Oh God, now you’ve got a visitor counter which I’ll have to compete against!!!!! This is war ( meant in a friendly only slightly true way.)
September 1st, 2007 at 2:54 pm
Note to self: Never post comments late at night when you’re over tired, irriitable, grumpy etc etc! It will not look good in the morning.
