This morning, after a visit to the bathroom…
Mr B: “M, can you put your trousers back on?”
M: “What Daddy?”
Mr B: “Can you be a big girl and put your trousers on M?”
A few minutes, some high pitched mutterings, and a couple of tumbles later…
Miss M: “MY DID IT. ”

Mr B and Me: “Yay, what a big girl.”
Clapping.
Miss M’s eyes twinkle and she giggles,
Miss M: “My bigger, bigger to do dat. My bigger to go to hursery.”
(NB. That’s Nursery in M speak.)
Me: “You are such a big girl M. Well done.”
Mr B also leaves the bathroom.
Miss M: “Yay, Daddy did it too. Good boy.”
Mr B: “I’ve actually been able to do it for quite some time now M.”
Me: “Hee hee. It’s good to learn new skills babe.”

P.s. Anyone know how to mend a digital camera that has been dropped while the flash was open and is now jammed.
Boo hoo.

When Emma lights up with pride because of how I’ve applauded her? That’s when I feel like a good mum.

Thanks Novembrance, I love when they do stuff like this. It can change your whole mood.
Avery, LOL. Today she has managed to open her mini computer by herself. Oh the joy.
Kimberly that’s so true. There’s nothing better than that smile on their face is there?
Corey, she was so proud of her Daddy for putting his trousers on. LOL.

My girls are at an age now where they can put everything on by themselves, but can’t leave the house until they’ve asked someone 14 times, “Do these pants go with this shirt?”
I remember those days.

Good for M, hooray! I love it when kids take pride in doing something. It really does change your day and theirs.
As for the camera, I did that to mine once. I took out the batteries, put the batteries back in, turned on the camera, it reset itself. However, I don’t know if that will work for you. You may have to take it to a camera shop, Jo!

Do you suppose that Mr. B’s hair has anything to do with his prowess?
October 22nd, 2007 at 9:30 am
It’s just fantastic when they learn something new isn’t it? It even better when the kids learn something new! ((wink))

Troy, we’re at the opposite to that right now, hee hee. Miss M woud quite happiy leave the house naked at the moment.
Miss E is getting more fashion conscious though.
I’m dreading the day when they won’t let me leave the house without getting changed.
Jen, it is fab when they go all proud of themselves isn’t it.
Mr B and I deided to take the camera apart last night and it is well and truly dead. We’ve ordered a new one. Overdraft, what overdraft?
RC, hey, lose some hair, gain trouser putting on abilities. That could be it.
Akelamau, hee hee. You make me laugh.

Babyamore, welcome.
I know what you mean. Miss M is my baby and I want her tiny as long as possible.
Your little boys are sooo cute.

Ooh, are you in for some fun! Once they can dress themselves you end up taking them out in all sorts of weird combinations – just because you don’t want to let them down!

Yeah, Xander is still at that stage where the clothes always come off.
