Blog

Arghhhhhhhh

I am a spam magnet.

horseshoe-magnet-57437227.jpg

I’m getting over 60 a day, all either medical or the other kind…

I hate spammers.

Especially the ones that make pretend comments like,

“Hello! Good Site! Thanks you! sqewmwnhqogd”

or

“Sounds like a good idea, but I don’t really understand it myself.”

Arghhhhhhhh.

Do they think I’m stupid??

Have I got ‘I love’ spam written across my face?

Am I wearing a big spam jumper/sweater?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo

So what, WHAT???

I mean, I know my post titles may have invited a little, erm, interest…but even so.

And I checked out my recent post titles and they’re not too bad, look…

Miss M’s Dream

Good at being Bad

Boys & Girls

The Gift

Barbara has one too many

A rebel in red boots

Go Google yourself

Big Sighhhhhhhh

Mini Motivator

Ok, I admit it, some of them sound a little iffy, but not when you look at the context, right?

So tonight, after some advice from lovely Ashley, Mr B and I are going to get those evil spam robots.

I’m only sorry that it means you lovelies will have the annoyance of putting in one of those code things.

I know they’re blumming irritating, but I’m terrified something horrible will get through by mistake.

And if it does, I will cry.

P.S. RC, I haven’t forgotton that meme I promise.
P.P.S. Brillig, I did forget my soap opera Sunday post. I’ll do it for next week if I can.

Darn….

I kind of like those silly ‘words’ and trying to figure out what they might stand for, so go ahead and put up your spam blocker, it won’t scare me away!

I’ve been really lucky. I got rid of my word verification and have only been spammed once. And it wasn’t a gross one. Yay!

Go ahead Jo. We can make up good words out of your codes.

Freakin’ spam. I use that Akisnet product on my site and have had great luck.

Of course, now that I’ve mentioned it I’ve just jinxed myself.

You should try putting it in a casserole with macaroni, green pepper, mushrooms, tomatoes and a creamy cheese sauce – you won’t be able to get enough of it! :)

I haven’t had much spam, but I did get one from some freakalicious religious group which was probably 20 pages long!

But my email? I don’t know what has happened, but instead of the normal offers of cheap PhotoShop I’ve started getting Viagra ads.

Does the spam bot know something I don’t?

I got some unpleasant comments from spammers so installed a word verification thingy and it has worked so far. There’s always someone who wants to spoil the party!

I had the same problem a week or so back. I put word verification on again for a few days then took it off and I haven’t had any spam since. You watch I’ll be inundated with it now I’ve said that!

Englishmum, it is very funny with the smash robot voice, I promise.

RC I will my dear. Maybe I’ll just need to keep it on for a bit then see if it’s sent then elsewhere. If they come back to you, don’t be mad…

Troy, I’ll have a look at that one. Ta.

Walksfarwoman, sigh, such a lovely recipe dear, but I am a veggie you know. Ahhh, no spam for me. Hee hee.

Corey. I’m sure you are the nicest stalker ever in the word amen. :D

Bluemomma, LOL. I get them to my email too. And I’ve seen that religious one. It’s freaky isn’t it.

Dumdad, I can’t imagine your site offending anybody. Aren’t some people just gits?

Despina, oh you are such a sweetie. :D

Avery, I will spam you if you really want me to, but it’s not nice. I promise.

Akela, hope you’ve not jinxed yourself. RC’s seems to have worked like that too so I’ll hopefully just have it on for a bit.

Hee hee, Jen. I love you lot too. And Mr B and I chose redwine and Wensleydale with cranberries over putting
    on my spamometer.
    Hopefuly we’ll do it tonight.
    Naughty Jo.

I started reading and thought, ‘What, how did that get through?’

And you can play secretary on my blog any time. I’d rather that than the spamming gits who are frequenting my site at the moment.
