What a clever boy

This morning, after a visit to the bathroom…
Mr B: “M, can you put your trousers back on?”
M: “What Daddy?”
Mr B: “Can you be a big girl and put your trousers on M?”
A few minutes, some high pitched mutterings, and a couple of tumbles later…
Miss M: “MY DID IT. ”

Mr B and [...]

Have you ever known anything so satisfying as shaving another persons head?
Today I have rendered Mr B’s barnet into the texture of a large mole.
It is a fuzzy, and soft, and grade one lovely.
It makes me feel all relaxed just thinking about it.
Sighhhhh.
And he looks darn cute as well, in a ‘didn’t you kill [...]

A rebel in red boots

The lovely David at authorblog has done it again with his fab ‘Weekend Wanderings’.
All he asks it that you link to his blog (or to this post) just so he can follow the progress of the discussion.

And this weeks question is: Were you a teenage rebel?
“You’re not old enough to be in here [...]

I don’t want my mummy

Barbara feels much better today, as do Misses E and M.
We had an interesting night with Miss E the last two nights as she refused to sleep in her bed and we ended up taking it down and letting her sleep on a mattress on the floor.
Miss E has one of those midi-sleeper beds [...]

Barbara has one too many

Have you ever seen an Ostrich with a hangover?
It’s not a pretty sight…

Barbara had far too much Creme De Menthe at the after show party last night and is feeling the effects, so much so that she is still in her dressing gown at five in the afternoon.
Tsk.  Daft bird.
(My Coral Paintshop Pro X [...]

More Awards than you can shake a stick at

Ok.
Barbara and I have awards to bestow…

Barbara has her lippy on, and I’ve shaved my legs especially.
I’ve been waiting a little while to hold this ceremony, but it’s back-fired as now I have four, yes four to pass along, so pull up a chair, grab a glass of complimentary champagne, (it’s not free, it just [...]

BLOG ACTION DAY – How big are your feet?

A story…
Once upon a time there was a little blue planet.

The people on the planet thought it was an enormous planet, in that it was bigger than they could imagine, more beautiful than they could ever design, and more mystical than their minds could ever truly contemplate.

In the larger scheme of things, it was [...]

The Conkering English

Thanks for all the recipes yesterday everybody.
I think I’m going to go for Mrs Weasley’s Brownies.
And I will try the chilli one in , erm, chilli.
We’ve had a mad day as my niece Miss J turned one. She is the cutest baby and such a smiler, and as my mum and I take care [...]

The Gift

Mr B came home last night laden with gifts.
It wasn’t our anniversary.
We hadn’t had an argument.
He just saw something and thought of me.
Isn’t he nice?? (Well, sometimes anyway.)
You’re all excited now aren’t you?
What is it?
Wine?
Jewellery?
A holiday?
A new car?
(OK, you’re getting a bit too excited there if you think he’s just going to go out [...]

Boys and Girls

I promise I didn’t mean to look, or at least, to see.
Miss E held it open and I just happened to glance at the other page and read this,

D and young J are soooooo cute. I love them.

So it doesn’t make me a bad Mummy right?
And it doesn’t make me a bad mummy that [...]
