Yay, I’m half way there and have written 26 137 words. I wasn’t really sure if I’d get this far so I’m really excited. Cami, Kim, Holly and Troy are all doing fabulous too. I’m so proud of us.

However, I must apologise for the the quality of some og my posts this month. I have brain drain. But I’m doing my best so quit whinging already. ;) (Avery will be so proud of me.)
It’s kind of just an updatey post today because….

Tonight, I am in London watching Lee Mead in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat.

I hope….

It was part of Miss E’s birthday prezzie, remember?
And we were meant to go at Halloween, but then this happened.

So, we got tickets for today on ebay, (shhhh don’t tell), and we reckon we’re guaranteed a Lee fix as it’s the BBC Children in Need show and he’s starting it.

We’re picking Miss E up early from school and heading down South for the 8pm show. Miss E doesn’t know we’re going today, so it’s all a big surprise. (Shhhh again.)

Hooray.

But for now, I want to share with you the fun that was last night, the turning on of the Christmas lights in my home town.

You see, we had celebrities.

Look…

Dora and Boots were there…

I was slightly concerned that Boots seemed in a less than sober state and Dora ended up having to carry him round all night. But Misses E and M didn’t seem to mind…

..and Santa was there.

pb160020.JPG

He is obviously the funniest man on the planet if this elf is anything to go by. Who Knew?

And the girls ate copious amounts of goodies, had Teddy Bears from Santa’s sack, (like we need more soft toys), and waved glow sticks around excitedly at passing jugglers.

And finally, we nearly got hit by a train…

pb160006.JPG

Ok, it was on a roundabout, but I’m sure E and M aimed it at me and Granny. They’d better hope Santa wasn’t watching. Tsk.

So all in all we had a blumming good time. Mr B even managed to come and join us after work.
He loved it…

So, what are we doing this morning?

Well what would you do if you were a very tired girl recovering from a traumatic train journey, meeting three of your most very favourite people/monkeys in the world, and eating far too many sweet and sticky things?

pb170025.JPG

Why, watching TV while sitting astride Sean the sheep who has been draped elegantly in your big sister’s school tie, (which you never normally get your hands on but your sister doesn’t need as she’s having a none uniform day.), and hugging Jo-Jo ,of course.

Hooray.

man you have an exciting life. especially compared to me.

the most excitement i’ve had in months is in a little video on my blog today you don’t even have to click there; i’ll just tell you what it is: some dogs ran around in our yard.

no santa, no parties, no soft toys, no stars, no trips to london, to trips to the theatah, no rock-n-roll gigs….

Way to go on the word count!
Dead jealous of you seeing Lee (what did we do before eBay?)- hope he got there on time! Saw him on Children in Need tonight & the poor chap had a nightmare with his mic! Then Wogan kept him talking & you could see he was itching to get away! Look forward to hearing all about it. :)

Jo, have a great time in London.

Your writing is going really well, with the word count climbing. You are such a gifted soul.

    We’re lucky to have you.

What a fun couple of days. What is so interesting to me is that in the states it is a bit of a faux pas to turn on Christmas lights before Thanksgiving, which is on Thursday. The day after Thanksgiving typically kicks off the Christmas season over here. Lots of stores have big sales and people begin putting up Christmas lights. The fifteen year old girl and I always take my mother, who comes for Thanksgiving, to the airport, have lunch out, and then go shopping!! (This year, we are meeting up with a friend of the fifteen year old girl and they are going to have their ears pierced!) We typically get home tired and shopped out, but then we have leftovers for dinner. It is a wonderful day – can’t wait!

Sounds like it was a marvelous time. TFYO loves Dora…I’ve always thought her relationship with Boots was a little suspect, though. Especially the sleepover episode. Also glad to hear of your writing milestone! Keep up the good work, Jo! :)

Hope you had a good time with Lee Mead (I’m afraid I haven’t a clue who he is!) I sound like Liz Smith, beginning to look like her too – which isn’t so good.

Laurie, you can’t beat cute pups running around. I will have to come and peep at them.

Holly, I felt sooo guilty what with Bert an all, that I had to take them. And Miss M loves Dora at the moment. It was cold but worth it to see their little faces when Santa went
    by.

Thalia’s child thank you sooo much. :)

Cami, this month is just going to be a tired one isn’t it. There’s no way we can escape it.

Kim, Sean is soo cute. He was mine when I was about 21, but Misses E and M love him now.

Belle, we did the sing along thing and it was ok, honest.

David that was so lovely you made me gulp away a big lump. (And it wasn’t my dinner.)

    Despina, thanks sweetie. :D

Mrs Weasley that sounds like a fab tradition. I can’t wait to read everyones Thanksgiving posts as I don’t know much about it. Hope you have a fab day with the fifteen year old girl, and a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Farmer’s Wife, I think Santa was being a very naughty boy.

Akela. Thanks and see you soon. Are you going to do a Christmas Carol Quiz I wonder??

Jen thanks. Dora is quite cute but Boots is a little odd. hee hee. TFYO is very astute.

Lori, warm and funky. You can’t beat trench coats.

    Napoleon, bad boy. ;)

Mya, I love Liz Smith but I’m sure she wouldn’t be pulling young men in banks, so I’m sure you look nothing like her young lady.

Corey, I will be shattered next week. It’s that Christmas buzz. It’s started.
