I am seriously flagging folks.
Bert is a hard task master and I’m missing you all so much but I just can’t fit it all in.
After such a mad weekend and some late night writing sessions, a waking child, a ’still too scared to sleep’ child, and a brain that won’t switch off, I am just exhausted.
I crossed the 30 000 word count today but I could do with being at around 35 000 tomorrow which isn’t going to happen as Mr B has requested I take a night off and watch Harry Potter with him.
Miss E was in her first Basket Ball match today. Years 3 and 4 played together in a tournament. It was kind of hard to watch as I don’t have good memories of school sports, and Miss E is so diddy compared to a lot of the other kids there, but she did ok. She merrily skipped about the court doing little side steps and I don’t know if she even touched the ball, but I was so proud of her, especially as we’d walked 15 minutes in the rain from her school to the host school.
This picture isn’t great but it’s all I could get with Miss M hanging off my arm. It would have helped if my camera wasn’t set to ’snow’ too.
Watching her, I realized that, like her Mummy, she is not particularly competitive in the sporting arena, but she did her bit and I think she enjoyed it.
Miss E is so like me in so many ways and I’m desperate for her to be more confident than I ever was, but like me she is cautious with new things, and a little sensitive sometimes. I only hope we can help her to overcome this and find the place she is happy with and feels that she fits.
So for now, I’m signing off and going to cuddle my hubby and watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Big hugs to everyone on my blog roll. I really do miss you, and I will catch up in December if not before.

I cheated on bert with my bathroom… and my kids art class… and this and that and the other and what I wouldn’t give to be at 30,000…
But as Mr. Kaos has band practice tonight I am going to try to force an 8,000 word rush today…
It could happen
right?

26,000 here…I’m pulling an all nighter if I need to in order to catch up today. Finishing this means a lot to me, and I don’t want to let myself down.

I hope you enjoyed Harry Potter, and are feeling all fresh and new. You know I miss you…but I will survive….at least I think I will.

Ok, so I don’t know anything about Bert, which is probably ok. I haven’t seen Harry Potter and the Order of the Phonenix, and really want to. I sent my husband out to rent it a few weeks ago, but he came home with something else. Maybe over the weekend. Have a nice cuddle! My daughter wasn’t really into sports until high school (age 14) when she decided to run, and it really fits her.

Nearly there, Jo. Like Avery said, we’ll still be here.

The only Bert I know is from Sesame Street, and I’d cheat on him in a heartbeat. *grin* I’ve been absent, too, dear, so don’t let it bother you. Sometimes life just gets in the way for a bit. We’ll all just look forward to hearing from you soon.

Holly, hee hee, but you are doing so well sweetie. I’m sure whatever you write will be amazing and I can’t wait to read it.
Cami, I hope you had a good nights writing. Bert is mean, but I’m sure we’ll love him in the end.
Kim, you will do it. I’m sure. I’m like you. It means so much to me to achieve this and hopefully take it further.
Corey sweetie, Harry was really good. You don’t realise how much those kids have grown up till you see a clip in this one where Snape reads Harry’s thoughts and sees him at 11/12. He looks so tiny. Feeling fresher today.
Avery, thanks sweetie. you are fab.
Mrs Weasley, the film is good. Darker, more grown up, but good. Bert is our 50 000 words in a month novel challenge. He is mean, but we’ll do it.
Belle thanks young lady. I’m missing my blog fixes.
Jen, thanks sweetie. I’m such a whiner. I just hate that I don’t feel I’m doing everything properly you know??
See you soon. x

Keep at it Jo you’ll get there gal!
I just read your profile and the following had me chuckling
I once fell down some steps in a bar, landed on my feet, didn’t spill my drink, and nobody saw
I once fell over a coffee table with a drink in my hand and didn’t spill a drop – it’s my claim to fame!
