From the first moment they laid eyes on her they knew she was special.
As they placed her on her Mummy’s chest, she lifted her head and looked in turn at the people who surrounded her. Then she snuggled into Mummy’s shoulder and was calm.
When they brought her home, she was a small stranger in their midst, yet she belonged.
They looked at her and knew they were finished. Their family was whole. They were done.
Her gummy smile was perfection, her laughter as infectious as a cold, but much, much nicer…
Her nappies smelt of roses, and when she was sick, tiny bluebirds came and wiped it up using leaves and apple blossom.
Ok. That bit was a lie.
And every day, she makes her Mummy and her Daddy and her big sister smile.
Happy 3rd Birthday Miss M.
We love you sooooooo much.
We may have to hide the noisy musical cards and baby Annabelle’s batteries at some point, but for now, enjoy.
xx

Happy Birthday, Miss M. I think all of these people are skeptics. I totally believe the rose nappies and bluebird story.
Your mom is a kick, isn’t she?

Aww, Happy Birthday, Miss M!
This post also reminds me of xmas this year. We gave my daughter a baby alive. Yeah, big mistake. That damn thing doesn’t shut up!
Needless to say we never replaced her batteries which thankfully died after 3 days of continuous use.
Blog hoppin’…
