Does anybody else get emails like this??

p2220001.JPG

Or is it just me?

I mean, luckily, I’m quite a clever chick, because, let’s face it, some people might be fooled into thinking that Jesus Kauffman and Wilfredo Wyatt are real people.

And they might think that the words ‘Wide-ranging bodypart Bradford’ are referring to someone who does a lot of cross-country hopping, and the that an email marked ‘bodypart colossal Jeffrey’, is probably a sad tail about a man with an enormous big toe.

Thank God I’m a little more worldly, otherwise I might have clicked on the accompanying links and been traumatized for life.

Phew, that was a lucky escape.

Cough, cough.

Clearing throat…

And now, I have to make an apology.

I’m actual on my knees right now, ready to grovel.

Because today, after a crazy morning, I stood somebody up…

Not Mr B. He was at work.

Not Miss M, though she didn’t cry at Nursery which meant she wasn’t on my mind as much as she has been.

And I didn’t forget to go to school mass and watch Miss E read out her little prayer, which was unfortunately about not actually attending Sunday mass, which any other person might have seen as a nudge because, well, we don’t go to Sunday mass…

No,

I forgot a friend.

I forgot that a very special, beautiful, wonderful, intelligent, witty and wise (creep, creep), friend, who goes by the name of Rosie, AKA Ingenious Rose, was coming to my house for lunch.

How bad is that?

And even though the reason was good, or at least, understandable and forgivable (I promise), it does not change the fact that I left one of my bezzie mates standing cold and forlorn on my doorstep like a little lost lady-shaped sheep.

Baa-d Jo.

So, Rosie, I am sorry.

I am soooo sorry.

I am so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, very, very, very, very, VERY sorry.

Ok?

And I know we already spoke, and you forgave me, and we agreed to do girlie stuff tomorrow night, I just wanted you to know that I meant it when I said I was sorry.

Ok?

Good.

    Oh Jo how dreadful.

Your poor little lamb of a friend stood outside in the cold rain, sleet and snow holding her little lunchbox with her specially prepared lunch and even a new Green Tea-bag that she thought you might like to try.

She waited and waited and waited some more…until the cold, wind, rain, sleet (and did I mention snow) and disappointment got too much and she made her way back home, alone, deflated, and hungry, thinking of what could have been – the two of you together, laughing, chatting and enjoying quality bezzie-friend time together over lunch. The time that never happened.

    She had been forgotten.

    Let’s pause for a moment…

    No longer than that…..

    Even longer…

    Picture the scene…

    Oh dear…

    OK. You’re forgiven you nutcase!!!

    Ha ha he he!

I agree! Rosie sounds a wonderful friend!!
    Yes I’m back commenting again.

Laurie, a thing like that could haunt a friendship forever. I am a good natured soul but will use the incident as emotional blackmail in the future if necessary!

Holly, what on earth made you think I’d return and add more comments!!!

Irene she had gone off shopping with some young fireman she met on the way to school. No not really! There was a good enough reason – which is just as well or Jo would be in huge trouble.

Mrs Weasley, thank you, and yes we will have good fun tonight (if Jo remembers I’ve invited her round!)

Corry, yes there is definately forgiveness in the end.

Jo, just a reminder that you are coming here tonight. That’s today Friday 22nd February in the year 2005AD. DO NOT FORGET!!

    Rosie, I love you.

    Holl, I love you too.

Corey, still the loving, and I’m so glad M didn’t cry too. She didn’t cry on Friday either so that’s two days on the trot. Yay.

Mrs Weasley, hee hee, thanks, and we did. :D

Irene, we had a bit of a family emergency thing and I was needed elsewhere and lunch slipped my mind. It was such a tough morning, and then when I realized I’d missed Rosie I honestly could have cried. She still loves me though. I am a very lucky girl.

Laurie, I am lucky to have such good mates. And yay, I won a prize, hee hee.

Momo, she did, because she is fabulous, and I bribed her with stuff. ;)

Holl, Rosie is a bit zany. She’s got that ‘intelligent but a bit away with the fairies at times’ gene. ;)
