Blog

I have a question.

Why do my kids look better if I categorize them as foodstuffs?

You see, this shot of Miss M?

I took this using the ‘cuisine’ setting on my camera.

I have to point out that Miss M chose this dress as her big sis has a similar one, and she picked the socks, and the shoes are Miss E’s and she insisted on the bobble in the hair, okay? And I didn’t send her to Nursery in this outfit, right?

Glad we’ve got that sorted.

Anyway, when Miss E got home, she had a great big gargantuan swollen lip after receiving the gift of a basketball in the face, and she wanted to see it. So I took a picture, just in case it went down before Daddy got home.

The first pic was on ‘cuisine’, then I changed the setting to ‘portrait’ as my kid is really not edible unless you are a tiger, or a very scary person.

So picture two is ‘portrait’. It’s not a good look right?

Picture three, I went back to ‘cuisine’ and, well, in my opinion it’s better.

And Miss M’s picture above is cute in ‘cuisine’, and yesterday’s ladybird was also a foody pic.

So, do I just have weird eye sight, or do the makers of my little Olympus view all small things as food?

It’s a worry. ;)

Today I did an online schmesco shop and clicked the ‘no bags’ area.

I’ve always avoided this before as I think it must be dead annoying for the drivers, but I have a plan. I’m going to get all the carrier bags we already have in my cellar head (we use them as bin liners), and we’re going to form a production line type thing were Miss M and I fill bags and Mr B and Miss E ship them off to the kitchen. That way we should be really quick right?

p.s. Sorry I’ve not been able to visit many of you lovely peeps today. I have been in the land of migraine, and tonight I’m off out with my lovely sister-in-laws, and some good friends for a girlie meal for Helen’s birthday. (One of my s-in-laws.)

I’m still feeling rough, but I’m going to go and see how I am. I hate migraines, they are evil. Anyone know of any good herbal remedies please let me know as I’m ready to try something new.

ooh I have loads of migraine tips. They are indeed from the land of the devil and are wickedly evil. I gave up the herbal stuff in favour of heavy duty meds but before I did these were the ones I tried: fever few tablets taken every day as a preventative; 4head gel stick – nice and cooling; migraleve gel pads for your forehead – still use these, bliss; finally, Shakespeare sonnets via my walkman for that post puking brain racing phase – I find the iambic pentameter lulls my brain and slows it down so that I sleep it off, still do this too. And now I sound mad. Email me for more tips and hope you’re better soon :o )

Peppermint oil is supposed to be good for headaches, that’s all I’ve got though. Hope it clears up soonly!

I think the outfit is quite adorable actually, but I have odd tastes. =P

my lovely i have been hard at work all day, but am sending you reiki vibes now. so sorry i’m late. i really really stopped writing code at 11:30. in the pm.

nothing on the herbal front. although i am told if you *kill* a man named herb, you feel better. i realize that’s going to be difficult in this country, why don’t you just order a hit from afar.

this is really going nowhere. this is what happens when i write code until late in the evening.

i’m going to be very disappointed with myself come the am.

oh and THEN i forgot to say i lmbo at the edible children. i don’t have a cuisine setting! i have a fire setting. i don’t want my children on fire. i *do* like them on the moon, but using that setting doesn’t seem to send them there. probably just as well, they are ill-prepared.

Your little girl is soo cute! When my middle child was in head start the director said that it was good to let kids dress in their own way when they where that small. It was a way of letting them express themself. So, If he wanted to be a cowboy one day and a fireman the next, that’s how he went. I also did the same for KB. They finally grew out of in middle of grade K. The teachers were all good with it. I was also, less fighting on my end. Those 2 have always had a mind of their own. LOL! (If you saw my FM, they were my 2 monkeys in a tree and the 2 chipmunks) LOL!

Jo that’s the first time I’ve seen someone post a photo of their Tesco shop!!! The question is – what did you buy? I’m going to attempt the no bags option. Last time I had 40 items and 35 bags – I kid you not!

By the way I’ve tagged you in a meme, it’s an interesting/easy-ish one. IJ is ill so it’s a day for memes. Mr C has chicken pox by the way. Who needs facebook when you can pass messages via blog comments!

Come and comment on my meme or I’ll look really sad and unpopular!
