Talk about coming down with a bump. Having had the best most wonderful blogiversary in the world ever, Miss M once more drags me back into the realms of normality.
Today it is the majestic, cute and extremely clever Queen of Hearts 9th Birthday. We’ll be celebrating in person next week when we meet up for birthday and holiday fun, but we couldn’t let this day pass without a mention.

However, if we had invited the Queen to dine with us today, it would have been advisable for her to decline.
Me: “Miss M, what do you want in your sandwich babe?”
Miss M: “Poo.”
I grin and raise an eyebrow at her.
Me: “Or?”
Miss M: “Bum.”
Me: “Or?”
Miss M: “Trump.”
Me: “We’ve run out of those sweetie, you can have ham, cheese or jam.”
Miss M: “Trump ham.”
Me: “Eurghhhh. We don’t have any of that. What about cheese?”
Miss M: Giggling. “My want a trump sandwich mummy, and a bum bum on my bread.”
(Laughing her tiny little head off.)
Me: “Well do you want jam, ham or cheese with that?”
Miss M: “Ermmm, trump.”
Me: “Yes, but do you want jam, ham or cheese with the trump?”
Miss M: “Errrrrrm, jam.”
Me: “Ok.”
Miss M: “..and trump.”
Anyone want to come and eat at my house? Miss M is cooking.
Oh, and the book fairy struck again. Ten books for a fiver!
Sighhhh, it almost matches yesterdays wonderful gift…
..you know I’m lying right?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
You’ve got some great books there - I’ve read both thos Kathy Reichs and they’re great!
Thanks, but I’ll skip lunch. The books you scored look great. The only one I didn’t care for was the one by Twelve Hawks. Happy reading.
Never heard of Reichs. She good?
books!
Now I must go find some new to me books too!
But I am trying to pack, not get MORE to pack.
Sigh
what’s a girl to do?
Aw, you’re so sweet to do a tribute to the oh so lovely Queen of Hearts!
And I recognize one of those books there. The Time Traveler’s Wife? One of the most intense, graphic, but moving books I’ve ever read. Very disturbing but the writing is incredible. Have a box of tissue handy!
First and foremost HAPPY BIRTHDAY QOH!!!!
nextly: American in the room, what’s trump?
Akela brill. I do like Kathy Reichs.
Jan, I’llbe interested to see what it’s like now. I haven’t heard of it before and it was only 50p so I went for it.
Maria, did you ever watch ‘Bones’ with David Boreanaz in it, aka Angel? They’re based on Kathy Reichs books. It was a cool series but I don’t know if they’re still making it. I like them.
Mie, get packed, move house, buy books. Sorted. x
Kim, my mum said that so I may not read it for a while. I get a bit nervous of sad books as I tend to get very involved. I still can’t bring myself to read Angela’s Ashes all the way through.
Cami, a ‘trump’ is a fart. My kid is so lovely isn’t she?
silly me, I always though you were a pro-snogger.
Oh well.
oh queen of hearts giggled all the way through this!!! and thanks you so much!
this is so sweet jo! and yes, she had a dinner free from those ingredients tonight.
and she says thanks cami, too!
tee hee…so glad Cami asked about trump. tee hee how funny.
Happy birthday QOH….you will be seeing them again?????? oh so envious.
Happy Birthat to Miss M, although I will pass on a sandwich.
And that show “Bones” is still on TV—although the season finale was last week here in the US— it will start up again in the fall. I enjoy that show.
I have eaten worse Jo, I have eaten worse…:-)
Haute cuisine!!
Glad Cami asked so I don’t have to! Sounds like a delightful meal. Gag. Must go to Holly’s now and send some birthday wishes…late of course!
Oh you are so going to enjoy The Time Traveller’s Wife. One of my all-time favourite books. Ever.
ALso enjoy Kathy Reichs…we’re on the latest one in our house at the moment - Himself got to it before I could!
I also think I’ve read that John Irving, if it’s the one I think it is. That’s good too.
Oh and I’ll skip lunch too. Thanks all the same!
Oh and Memoirs of a Geisha is good too!
Umm, actually, are you me!?
Poo sandwiches? Miss M will get on well in France where they eat all manner of things that would make a Brit retch! (Although I don’t think the French menu includes baguette à la merde)
Miss Burrows, I am that too, as David found out.
Holl, so glad to give the queen giggles on her birthday. I bet Miss M will make her a special sandwich next week. Snort.
Corey, we’re having a couple of fun filled days with them next week as it’s half term here. Can’t wait. I will pass on hugs to them from you.
Susan, it’s Q of H birthday but thanks for the lovely wishes anyway. And Bones is so good isn’t it. David Boreanaz, yum.
Lovely Don Mills Diva, what have you eaten? I want to know. ;D
David, that’s one name for it…:D
Momo, she won’t mind the late, and so glad I have educated you all on the word trump, hee hee.
AOJ, oh my Bob, maybe we are clones, hee hee. I can’t wait to read them all. I’ve started the Kathy Reichs double.
Dumdad, everything sounds so much better in French doesn’t it? Even poo sandwiches.
LOL - This sounds like the entertainment I like…please can I come to tea! I promise I wouldn’t laugh ;-D xx
