Peace globe 1

The Peace Globe project started in 2006 with one blog, Mimi Writes.
Today bloggers worldwide will be blogging under the above title and posting their own personal peace globe along with their hopes for peace.

I was stuck on what to write about. There are so many areas in our world that are less than peaceful, including in my own town where racism, sexism, homophobia, mindless violence and many other examples of people being cruel, thoughtless or heartless towards other people occur every day.

So I chose not to pick.

Instead I found this youtube clip. It shows the amazing differing faces of our world. The beautiful differences. And I want peace for them all as well as for myself.

I know the song’s kind of a little cheesy, but the sentiment is real and if more of us remembered this then maybe we really would give peace a chance.

Big pink puffy peaceful hearts to you all.

And now I will call Mr B to come and mop me up as I have gone so soppy and squishy I have actually melted.

Burble, schmuuuuffff, flump.

(That’s the sound you make when you are just a splodgy mess on the floor.)

If you want to join in and blog for peace today visit Mimi and get your globe.

    How lovely!

I giggled at the picture though. Give peas a chance is a line from one of my favourite songs titled “Carrot Juice is Murder.” Hee hee!

Loved your globe and the video too! I remarked to some other bloggers earlier tonight about having seen so many great globes, read so many great posts today and listened to so many really terrific songs along the way too that it has made today just a fantastic day of reading and listening and hopefully, others doing the same will get and heed our messages too somewhere, sometime soon!
Peace, my friend, to you and yours!
