Blog

It’s just before 10am and we’re on our way to Rosie’s house for Misses E and M to play with Ingenious Junior, and for me to play have witty and intelligent conversation and numerous cups of tea and coffee with Rosie.

As we stroll down a quiet sun filled street a middle aged man crosses the road in front of us laden with a large green holdall.
As he reaches his car, his voice blares out in a strong local accent (think Shane Meadows films.)

Man:  “Don’t touch me maggots.”

Snigger.

I didn’t touch his maggots, I promise.

Kitten, I didn’t even want to touch him, never mind his maggots. Hee hee,

Daryl I know, it made me laugh so much.

Akela, I didn’t actually see them but it certainly sounds like it. Tsk.

Hee hee Corey, Miss M didn’t notice and Miss E just glanced at me and wrinkled up her nose then giggled as she saw me trying to stifle mine. It was just so funny. :D

Um, I’m not sure what’s funnier— the fact that this happened to you, or the fact that you filed it under “pets.” Hahahahaha. If “maggots” are “pets” then I weep for you children…

:-D (Hilarious, by the way! I’m glad you had the presence of mind to blog about it…)

Perhaps he was on his way to show off his maggots at a Larvae Festival and didn’t want them to get dirty.

    Hee hee.

    Sybil, ok, I did. ;D

Brillig, they might be his pets, he was very protective of them. :D

Susan, that might be it. Maybe they were all washed and primped and had had their hair done.

Lindy. oh my bob, maybe he had maggots on his head.

Holly, I know, I’m always willing to comply too. Shivers.
