Have a Spooktacular Halloween

Blog

Outside it is crisp and biting. There is that pinched feeling, that nip in the air that comes only with dark autumn nights, the prelude to a cold winter.  Trees, having lost the shelter of their leaves, shiver forlornly casting long reaching shadows beneath the glare of a ghost white moon.

It is a night ripe for mischief, ripe for ghosts and ghouls, and for the little people, those eerie creatures that enter our hearts, our minds and our souls, and never relinquish their grip.

Here are mine…

And if that wasn’t scary enough, I’ve signed up for NaNoWriMo again this year.

Mwah ha ha ha haaaaaa.

Happy Halloween

I’m vaguely tempted by nanowrimo now i’ve abandoned my blog. Even thought of a vague plot and characters last night.

I doubt I’ll do it though.

    Ooo, that was spooky!!!!!

It was wet and cold and horrible last night but Princess Perfect and two pals (one on crutches as she’d twisted her ankle) dressed up as witches and went up and down the road trick-or-treating. (I can’t post any photos on my blog this year as my camer’s broken).

We had a big bowl of sweets ready but the number of kids ringing the doorbell was way down from last year. I suspect some will come round tonight.

I have no candy in the house, but was that not supposed to be last night? Oh, I am so out of things. When is Christmas again? I am looking forward to Valentine’s Day when I hope I have met a kind soul who will give me a box a real Belgian chocolates, all for me to eat, without sharing.

Corey she does doesn’t she? The random shouts of ‘x-factor’ and ‘my necklace’ just add to the terror right? :D

Holl, I don’t know, Sarah Palin is very scary. Shiver.

    Sybil, I did. ;D

Jen Q of P, they are cute little hag type monkeys.

Dumdad, I bet they still and a great time. We had a few callers this year even though it was very rainy and cold. Misses E and M handed out the sweets so it was fun. :D

Lindy, thanks lovely. Right back atcha.

Butter-fly by, don’t worry, kids sweets aren’t half as nice as Belgian chocs. I’m sure you’ll meet someone kind, and if not, be kind to yourself and buy some. :D

Karisma, Happy Halloween to you too lovely. :D

Susanna it is isn’t it. We had more than last year too, and there was much more mad stuff to buy this year.

Missives, I’ve abandoned it already, bad Jo. I did it last year but I have so much on this month that it would be wrong to put my family through it this time. I might do it again next year though.

Daryl, just general spookiness and silliness. :D I wonder what Leenda;s doing.
