As I sit in the centre of the highest tier of Nottingham Royal Concert Hall which slopes down steeply towards a sheer drop to the stalls below, I am suddenly struck by a surge of adrenalin, a rush of panic and a certainty that I am going to fall, or even…
..jump. Hurl myself into oblivion.
Then [...]

Can’t stop, I’m off to see Will Young with my mate Rosie. I feel slightly embarassed as although I think he’s a great singer, a lovely man and kind of cute, he’s not really my cup of tea music wise. I’ve always been a bit of an indie kid myself. Mr B is mocking me [...]

I’m curled up with Miss M having just read her yet another story. She’s on the verge of sleep, eyes drooping, hands resting on her chest, but still aware enough to notice stuff. You know, that kind of ‘almost unconscious yet still able to protest if you attempt to escape move’ stage.
Her face is [...]

Don’t you think it’s weird…
..that when you buy a small child something new that they don’t need to try on…
..they have to wear it straight away?

or being ‘The Person Who Helps Dress/Undress David Tennant’, because Dr Who can’t dress himself you know, it’s a Timelord thing.
Cough.
So what [...]

Apologies to everyone I have not managed to read this weekend – which probably is just about everyone I do read. It’s been a busy one and when I’ve not been shopping, going to Christmas Fayres, visiting parents or writing, I’ve been sleeping.
I don’t know if you remember my kind of desperate post from [...]

Today Christmas began for la famille Beaufoix as we attended the Fountaindale Christmas Fayre. Fountaindale is a Specialist SEN school in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire and my sister-in-law, Helen, works there. It provides education for pupils aged 3 to 19 who have severe learning difficulties, disabilities and multiple needs. It’s always a very humbling experience as [...]

It is the weirdest thing to see your husband signing autographs. I’ve seen him signing a few before but last might there were loads and it was odd but really cool. I imagine it was partly because B-Movie were back in their home town, but it still made me kind of proud and amused at [...]
