Blog

I have stuff to tell you and I have so much reading to do, and lovely comments to answer which I really do appreciate I promise. but after a day in London with MIsses E and M, a night on my sister’s floor (ok, on an airbed on her floor), with Miss E’s teddy, and almost Miss E on several occasions, landing on my head, and a four hour journey home. I have to get some sleep.

You’re seeing a theme here right?  Me and ‘the sleep’, but it is a thing that has a tendency to avoid me.  I don’t know why.  I mean, I’ve never called it names or upset its Granny and yet it remains elusive much of the time.  Sighhhh.

I have been working most of the evening on a post about my London experience, which is as yet unbloggable due to a lack of brain cells.  I have attempted to record a NaNoWriMo podcast with Holly and Queen of Hearts, and I have failed to begin my novel.  (Bu**er)

So my post tonight is short and sweet, and it is this…

I’ve been that tired. I’m that tired right now. I started my novel a year ago. I’m on chapter 4. Well, actually I’m on Chapter 2, I ripped out chapters 3 and 4 last night. Having a hissy fit is not conducive to writing. And I had no Misses jumping on my head…it just felt like it… Sigh….

This is why I have nothing important to say and why I sit here till the wee hours of the morning staring at my computer screen…lack of sleep. Or rather inability to sleep. Hope you get some much needed rest and feel refreshed! :)

I have sleep problems and can’t do it without my pills, otherwise I’ll sleep for just a few hours and I am wide awake again, which will make me manic. I assume you have tried warm milk, or did I already suggest that? Sex helps too.

Hopefully the kids are back in school today to give you time to take a nap? Yea, right.

Looking at the vote so far, she is not cheeky, or a monkey. So she is not a cheeky monkey.

She *could* however be a cheeky giraffe, chimp, badger or fox but not a monkey. :)

I hear you, loud and clear. Sleep is simply not my friend, and hasn’t been all weekend. But today, I went back to sleep after the kid was off to school, and slept.
I still feel like I need 12 more hours, but that was a very good start!
    Hope you get some, soon!

Sandi, don’t thrw them away. Put them to one side and look at them later. And don’t give up.

Iota, it is evil and bad and torturous. And I am a whingey git. :D

Erin it’s awful isn’t it? It can be so distressing.

Butterfly-by, that must be really hard. Sleep is such an important thing isn’t it?

    Susanna, I wish.

Bubblewench I suppose you just have to get on with it. It’s vile though, whether you have kids or not.

Cath, she is all of those things, but generally ‘in charge.’ Boo.

    Sybil, you too sweetie.

Akela, she did, but she was up nice and early…
