So did I finish the book?

Erm, no.  So I will be starting it tonight after I have put the two little Beaufoixs to bed.

Mr B is out rehearsing till late.  In a weeks time he has a gig where his current band Enormous will be supporting his other band B-Movie who were fairly well known in the 80s and did a few Peel sessions, toured the world and supported the likes of Duran Duran.  They were on the same label as Soft Cell and Boy George, so apart from Alvin Stardust and the fabuous Rebecca Adlington they were THE big thing to come out of Mansfield.

With hits such as Nowhere Girl and Remembrance Day they had a lot of airplay and made it to Peel’s Festive 50 as well as Peter Hook’s top singles, so this gig is a bit of a home coming and should be an amazing experience.

Enormous is the group Mr B is in with the fabulous Napoleon Fantastic, as well as the wise and wonderful Ashley Morgan aka Mr Upstart Blogger.  With a talent for creating frolicksome guitar pop magic they will be serving up both new and old material, some of which can be listened to here.  Their stuff is more me, and of course Mr B’s drumming is wicked.

So once more I am a band widow, but frankly my hubby is a lot happier for it and it firms up his thighs a treat.

Ok, I must be off now as Miss M is all tired and wobbly and has just managed to get herself trapped beneath a toy garage in a basket of soft toys.  I didn’t laugh, honest…well ok, just a little bit.

Before I go though I will leave you with a spectacular picture of my new book bargains from the charity shop that keeps on giving.  This lot cost me £2.50!  Sighhhhhhh.

And, I finally found one problem with my Mac.  The photos are mirror images. Duh.
Ah well, I’ll give a Monkey’s Uncle to anyone who can name four of the books I purchased.  If you can name them all you get a Monkeys Auntie as well, and maybe some nuts.  ;D

I’ve just enjoyed listening to Nowhere Girl…well, a couple of times actually…since we lived over there in the late 70’s early 80’s is this why they sound so familiar? And just as I was about to accuse you of having the books upside down, I see the problem…and I know you did NOT laugh at the delightful Miss M!
    Okay, even I laughed a little…

I hope that’s not a Daniell Steel book I see before There’s a setting you can change to stop it being a mirror image, but I forget where it is.

Lee, yay you are first and you are fabulous. The girl 15 one is research, the rest are pot luck but at 50p a book they’re worth the risk. And sweet dreams to you too. Expect a Monkeys Uncle and Auntie in the post soon. ;D

Sandi most probably, it was early eighties. Mr B will be pleased hee hee. And you’re allowed to laugh at Miss M, hee hee. It was funny. She just lay there saying ‘help’ in a tiny voice, but she had a big grin on her face too. ;D

Corey, I have to read each night. It’s not a good thing in that even if I go to bed at 2am I read. Maybe it’s a bit OCD but I need my books. :D

Kim, sleep. Or write and then sleep. x

Dan, wash your mouth out with soap young man. There is no Danielle Steele in my house. Hope you’re ok/ Are you nanowrimoing? I dropped out this time but I’ll do it next year, I still have last years 50 000 words to edit. :D

I see there’s nothing more left for me to add. Everything has been said. That’s what I get for showing up late. Even the nuts are gone. I did have to laugh at Miss M struggling under the garage. That’s like slapstick. Hee, hee.
