B-Movie and Enormous kick A**

Blog

It is the weirdest thing to see your husband signing autographs.  I’ve seen him signing a few before but last might there were loads and it was odd but really cool.  I imagine it was partly because B-Movie were back in their home town, but it still made me kind of proud and amused at the same time. It was also kind of weird to see his face projected on the ceiling. Seriously, I kept wanting to wave at him.

I didn’t get any actual film of B-Movie (bad Jo), so I’m hoping someone else will put something in youtube soon, but I did get two songs from Enormous who I think really won the sell-out crowd of stalwart B-Movie fans round.   Their music has such a feel good factor and I really love it so I was dead pleased that their first gig with the new line up went so well. There’s a tiny bit of distortion at the start of this track but it clears up pretty soon. Go on, give it a listen, you might like it…

This second track is also really cool (Biased? Me?) And the sound is better too. They paved the way for B-Movie brilliantly, not that there needed to be any paving…

Scary moment of the night was seeing a man sidle past my mum and slide his hand lingeringly down her back, shiver, I think I may need counselling.

Mad thought of the night, I may have to sell some of Mr B’s pant on ebay.

Cute moment of the night, Miss M bashing away at her Daddy’s drum kit in a surprisingly rhythmic way. Seriously, we were gobsmacked. (This was earlier when Mr B was setting up, not at the actual gig, the mini B’s were safely tucked up in bed by then.)

Oh, and as I’ve been writing this post someone has uploaded one of the tracks from B-Movie.  It’s a new song and was one of the encores.

And thanks for all our family and mates who came along to join the crowd. Hope you had as much fun, though not necessarily as much alcohol, as I did.

My husband writes parking tickets. That’s sort of like watching him sign autographs, except the “fans” are a little pissed off. :-P

    Good music!

Akela, there were a few ladies hanging around but I think they’re more of a blokes band as it was mainly men. I wouldn’t have been worried though. Mr B is actually quite shy and only has eyes for me. Hee hee.

    Hey Jo!!

I am an idiot. I obviously met you very briefly at the gig and I never twigged it!! Duh!!

The gig was really fun!! Graham did a great job. Never got a chance to say good-bye at the end as I couldn’t find him. Now I know he was signing autographs all along :)

    All the best Jo,

By the way, I saw a couple of snap happy photographers at the gig. Does anyone know who they were? It’d be great to see some photos.

just browsing for B-Movie related items and find your blog Jo. Thanks for subscribing (and for your comment) and hope Mr B does not mind the tracks being posted on You Tube. Great new track, needs to get a bit of airplay I reckon, then….who knows? defo a match for alot of new stuff around nowdays. BTW, what is the track called? Great crowd at the Mill, a few more than at the Metro Club in April! (now that must have been depressing for the group) but back to form and looked like they really enjoyed it.

One of the three blokes from Essex who came up for the gig,
    Jeff.

Matt you are not an idiot, you were just in ‘the zone’ or something, hee hee. And I just introduced myself as ‘Jo’ not Jo Beaufoix so I could have been any old chick. And I asked Mr B about the snapers but he didn’t know. We’ll have to see what we can find out. :D

Hi Jeff. They’re fine with stuff going on youtube. It’s really great you lot give them such support. They were a bit worried that some of the Essex crowd didn’t get in but you obviously did so that’s good. The Metro gig was a bit of a downer but I think it wasn’t well publicized so that’s life. I couldn’t get to that one, and when it was the first Metro gig I was very pregnant with our youngest. The Social Gig was great last year, but I preferred the atmosphere at the Mill. The Encore song is called ‘5 Minutes to Midnight’. Take care. :D
