The migraine turned out to be general vileness. Stomach cramps, dizzy spells, nausea. If I stay stood up for too long and then look down it feels like I’m on stilts and viewing the world from a great height.
Miss E has also succumbed which has meant a full day being sleepy and keeping toasty warm with my oldest child. When Miss M returned from nursery at 11.45am she brought with her the ‘Special Box,’ which each child has for a weekend and then returns to Nursery on the Monday filled to the brim with precious things that she/he would like to tell the class about. It’s a fun way to acknowledge and celebrate difference and can include anything from a child’s favourite toy, to photos of their family, favourite foods and to cultural artifacts.
Miss M has so far decided to show the group her Winnie The Pooh slippers. Nice. I’m also expecting her to add an Ariel doll, her favourite book, Daddy’s drumsticks, and her cuddly turtle. I’m pretty sure she may also try to smuggle in her favourite Dora the Explorer knickers, a trump sandwich and quite possibly one of the gerbils, so I’ll be keeping an eye on her over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Miss E and I are once more snuggled together under a blanket, even though the heating is on and I have several layers of clothes. We both have temperatures, as does Miss M, though I’ve a feeling hers may be down to the Pre-School Injections she had a week or so ago.
A party we should have been attending tonight has gone on quite happily without us, and Mr B is upstairs putting Miss M to bed. I have a feeling E and I will soon be following her.
We have a mad weekend ahead of us as Miss M turns 4 on Sunday and we have another friend’s party to attend, painting to do at Mr B’s Mum’s, swimming lessons, a birthday morning to plan, a birthday tea to make and visits to Rosie and IJ’s for fun and frolicks, and Mr B also has rehearsal, so I will be having an early night in the hope of shedding this bug in time to be able to fit it all in and enjoy it.
Have a wonderful weekend everybody. Please do not touch the screen while you are reading this post. I would hate you to catch the lergy.
Night night.
Oh, and congrats to Leendaluu on winning the cinema vouchers after admitting her wish to dance naked with the Hoff. These things are better off out Lee. ;D

Hope you and Miss E are better in the morning and able to face the onslaught of the weekend.
The Special Box sounds wonderful. R is always asking if she can bring this teddy or that book to nursery school and we always have to say ‘No, because it could get lost or broken.’ Having the opportunity to show some of those favourite things would, I’m sure, go down very well. I might even suggest it to the staff.

I hope you and miss E feel better soon, but don’t force yourselves to go to all these events unless you are really better. It sounds as though you’ve got quite a bug. I dare not touch the screen, that is a great warning.
I definitely think miss M should bring daddy’s drumsticks. I would love to hear her tell about them and watch her give a little demonstration. You don’t happen to have a little drum, do you?

Aww…I do hope you feel better in time for all the fun and frolicing. I do like the idea of you getting good quality snuggles with your first baby though. Warm and toasty indeed!

Thanks everyone. We’re loads better but still in that grumpy stage. The hugs with Miss E were good though.
