Sometimes, when things are a little bleak and you don’t seem to have a minute, sticking your child in a Fast Food play area while you sip a latte, (ok, it was a chocolate milkshake), and just have a quiet moment, is completely allowed.

It doesn’t mean you’re a bad parent. In fact Miss M had the best time, and when I took her to get her feet measured and her tights were the colour of mud the lady didn’t bat an eyelid. Honest.

You’re not saying you went to MacDonalds are you Jo? Well as suppose it is allowed, under certain circumstances, as long as you do not re-offend any time soon x

I love those milkshakes. Haven’t had one in ages, but now you’ve reminded me…

When mine where younger I did that several times. Sometimes it is a must! Now I take them to a park, but not enough.
Hugs~~

I have done that McDonalds thing more times than I want to confess to. But here, there is little alternative. I mean, when it’s below freezing, or in the 90s, and your child needs to let off some steam, and there are no soft play areas, what’s a mom to do?
McDonalds coffee is disgusting, and I’ve once or twice been tempted to smuggle in my own in a travel mug, but I’ve never dared.

I’m wondering if the lady thought that was mud or something else!

Those playgrounds are McDonald’s saving grace. Glad you got a quiet moment or two. =)

Living in California, I used to go to McDonalds all the time, Jo. Don’t feel bad. It really didn’t do any harm. My kids grew up to be quite normal and not at all great big fat people.
