Center Parcs, Mother’s Day and a Haunted House

Last night was lovely.  The bride and groom were chilled and happy and nobody got too drunk.  I have to tell you something fantastic about being in a big Catholic family that is part of a wider community of Catholics.

Lent.

Lent and the giving up of stuff.

Lent and the giving up of alcohol.

My Dad provided a load of free wine to start everyone off.  Except, not many people were drinking, heh heh.

Which meant, wait for it, I spent £0.00.

Sighhhhhh.

Other good news, snort, we went to see the house I’m hoping to rent last night.  It’s fab and I feel really postive about it.  Misses E and M charged around like mad things and gave it a firm thumbs up.  I’ve mentally moved in already and am now haunting my friend and her dad as they paint the upstairs rooms and arrange for the downstairs damp proofing and replastering to be done.

Mwah ha ha ha haaaa.

(Do you think they heard that??)

We’re off to Center Parcs right now where I have no internet access so there’ll be no posts till Monday which I know is unheard of for me but events this morning took over and I had a lot less time than I thought.  Will fill you all in when I get back.

HAve a fab weekend, and I’ll leave with my Mother’s Day poem from Miss E which she gave me last night and makes me fill up every time I read it.
