I promised you before and after shots so here they come. Ready?
So this is the before.

I know, it’s kind of almost like rhino skin isn’t it?
Cough.
And this is the after…

No really, the results were almost that good. The Aveeno Cream and the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion went on smoothly and my skin just drunk it up. I could hear it slurping away, in fact it couldn’t have made more noise if I had given it a straw. Tsk.
I will definitely use it again and have already sourced where to buy it locally, and I was pleasantly surprised by the price. (No Zerilada, it’s not free). I tend to have very sensitive skin and have been known to burn using fairly well known and loved moisturizers (remember that night with the scary red face Ju? You, Dave and Mr B only laughed a bit ;D). Almost immediately after using the Aveeno stuff though, my skin really did feel very soft and smooth and the product itself wasn’t greasy in the slightest and had just a faint smell that reminded me of aqueous cream which I use on Misses E and M a lot.
Obviously this is just my opinion and everyone’s skin is different, but if you visit aveeno.co.uk you can register yourself for a free sample so you don’t even have to spend to try it out.
And how was my bath?
Hmmmmm.
Well, to be honest the words ‘chicken cuppa soup’ came to mind, and not in a good way as in warm, toasty and soothing, but as in, well, a bit pongy. My skin did feel pretty smooth after it, and I bet if I used it regularly the results would be amazing, but, well, let’s just say the Bath Powder with Colloidal Oatmeal wasn’t for me, ok?
Good.
All in all I would give Aveeno a big, very smooth skinned and wrinkle free, thumbs up. Even Babs my Ostrich had a go and she’s normally a right fussy old bird. I’m not so sure what she thought of the results though. Let’s just say if she was after ‘youthful’ she certainly got it…

Must go. I have to moisturise immediately.

Jo, they may not serve you in the pub tomorrow, now that you look so young. You see, youth and vitality always comes at a cost!

Okay, you even make product reviews fun. I haven’t been around much lately, but I’ve missed you like crazy…

Aveeno is one of the few products on the market that I don’t react to. It is a godsend for my weird skin issue. There are many many flavours of it too, so if you ever have a yearning to try something that you can’t find in the UK, let me know (I’m particularly fond of the soothing lavendar bedtime bath soap for babies, only I use it for me on a squishy sponge, or sometimes a kiddie wash mitten)

I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you. And you must too: think of you. Aveeno is a good way to begin. x
