Stuff You Never Knew You Wanted To Know

Mr B is poorly sick. So, today when I had planned a ton of tidying, cleaning, organising, and possibly a drink with a friend, instead I have my two little monkeys tucked up in bed. He did manage to take them for their hair cuts and a McDonalds, but an over night stay was not a good idea with Daddy threatening to hack up a lung every second breath. So although I still got a lot of stuff done, I also had two small people to entertain, bathe, read to and snuggle. (Lucky me :D )

I am now shattered and having one of those moments where you sit down to write and your mind is a big blank page of pale white blankness. But then I remembered. Lovely Expat Mum and also Erica from Little Mummy both tagged me

1. What are your current obsessions?
Hmmmm.  Well, weirdly, maybe because I have never actually been the sole adult in my own house before, I’m kind of obsessed with keeping on top of things and doing everything right.  Seriously, I have never been this tidy, this ahead with washing, this organized and well, this domestically fabulous.  Hee hee.  I mowed my lawn today and did my washing and put it all away.  Miss E was gobsmacked, and Miss M declared the garden ‘brilliant’ just because I’d moved the trampoline.  Weird.

2. Which item from your wardrobe do you wear most often?
My blue jeans.

3. What’s for dinner?
It’s 10pm so I’ve not thought about tomorrow yet, but tonight I made myself a spinach and stilton risotto. The kids had McDonalds with their Daddy.  Tomorrow it’ll be something simple as the girls are out to lunch with Grandma, so I’ll probably have a jacket potato or Quorn Bolognese.

4. Last thing you bought?
Ohhhh, tickets to see Dave Gorman for myself, Rosie Scribble, Zerilda the Superfluous Blogger and my mate Nic.  He’s in Notts for 13th Feb next year.  My birthday is February 12th so the timing is perfect.  I’m so excited.

5. What are you listening to?
CSI:NY is on the telly but I’m not really watching.   Earlier today I was listening to a little Adele, and I also had a wee shimmy to Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince singing ‘Summer Time’ while I was cooking.  Takes me back to my teenage years.  Sighhhhhh.

6. Favourite kids’ film?
I love love love Enchanted.  It just makes me feel good, even if the songs stick in my head all day.

7. Favourite kids’ book?
We love ‘Underwater Farmyard’ by Carol Ann Duffy.  It’s lovely to read and has a very calming affect on both my girls.

8. What are you reading right now?
I’m reading ‘The Secret Scripture’ by Sebastian Barry.  I’m not too far in but liking it so far.

9. Four words to describe yourself?
Scatty, creative, loving, hopeful

10. Guilty pleasure?
Ice Cream, Chocolate, David Tennant, Colin Firth

11. Who or what can make you laugh until you’re weak?
My kids, my mates, Vic & Bob, Harry Hill, Britain’s Got Talent (Bad Jo)

12. First spring thing?
Baby animals.  There were two foals in a field as we drove to school the other day.  They were adorable.

13. Planning to travel to next?
Scarborough at half term to my brother and sister-in-law’s caravan.  I can’t wait.

14. Best thing you ate and drank recently?
Erm, cashew nuts last night, yum, and Ernest and Julio Cabernet Sauvignon.  Yum yum.

15. When did you last get tipsy?
When we went out for my mate Rosie’s birthday a couple of weeks ago.  I bumped into a friend then lost everybody and just giggled to myself.  People probably thought I was a mad woman.

16. Favourite ever film?
Ack I can never answer this one.  I don’t have one favourite, but I do like Withnail and I, Stardust, Alfie (Michael Caine version), Bridget Jones Diary, and loads more I’ve not even thought of.

17. Care to share some wisdom?
Erm, never, that’s NEVER try to balance a fridge filled with sherry trifle, on top of a pomegranate.

18. What new TV shows/programmes are you watching?
Five US’s The Mentalist with Simon Baker.

Can’t think why…

No honest, it’s really good.

19.  What would you do if you were struggling to think of a question to add to a tag thing?
I would write a question asking what other people would do if they were struggling to think of a question to add to a tag thing.

You’re meant to respond and rework,  answer questions on your own blog, replace one question, add one question and tag 8 people.  I don’t really like tagging folks though as I don’t want people to feel all pressurized etc, so, if you want to be one of my taggees, let me know.

Night night. x

I’m a very nosy character and love reading information about my favorite bloggers. You always come up with something surprising and it always shows what a fun person you are. If I ever have a party, you are invited.
