Yet More Hair Raising Experiences

Blog

When I dropped Miss M at nursery this morning we bumped into my friend K.

K is also our hair dresser.  She’s gorgeous, funny, completely down to earth and is quite possibly the only person in the world who can persuade Miss M to sit still for 15 minutes without the use of sweets, threats, or glue.

As usual K worked her magic on my two little monkeys’ barnets on Saturday, so what she would say to my 4 year old angel’s, erm, DIY alterations I hardly dared imagine?

Me:  ”Can you believe what she’s done?”

K:  ”That’s nothing.  Look at this…”

K’s own 4 year old angel turns to face me, a large smile on her upturned face.  I glance from her to her Mum, my eyebrow raised, a question mark.

She looks a little like this.

I know, I know, but you can’t really whip your camera out paparazzi style at other people’s kids purely for blogging purposes, can you?

K reaches forward and gently tugs the pink head band from her daughter’s head.

I didn’t laugh.

Well ok I did a little bit, because, well, she has literally cut right down to the scalp.

And I think K will forgive me, because she’s kind of cool like that, but part of me wanted to cheer.

“YAAAAAAAAAY, MY HAIRDRESSER’S KID HAS MADDER HAIR THAN MINE.”

Bad Jo.

Bad bad bad.

knock on wood… K has never cut her hair. I once told her if she did I would cut all of her hair as short as he shortest cut (I caught her pretending to cut with play doh scissors)

And I think (and hope and pray) at 7 we’re past that.

    LOL! You are too funny!

I hate to burst CamiKaos bubble but they are NEVER too old for it! Zak did it just last year and he was nine! Crazy kid. My girls still sometimes will cut their own hair but at least they do an okay job of it.

Cami hopefully you are. Miss E only did it once and it was a tiny bit. M’s not one to hold back though. I’m just glad she didn’t lop off her friend’s plait or anything.

Karisma, nooooooooooooo. Hee hee. So there’s still time for Miss E. :D

Erica, thanks, hee hee. I tried.

Maternal Tales, yep. I thought they were out of reach by making my room out of bounds when they had friends round. I was wrong. ;D And thanks on the drawings.

Daryl, you’re right. Thank Bob for that. :D

Kim, you’re just as bad as me, hee hee. Oh the relief.

Kids, scissors, and hair. Must keep separated at all times for adult sanity ;)
