We’re gearing up to another weekend of madness at chez Beaufoix. My lovely landlady is having a new boiler installed so tomorrow, said boiler, and some extremely long gas pipes, are being delivered ready for installation on Friday. What this means is that when Miss E gets home from school I will already have spent a few hours attempting to stop my mad 4 year old from using them as a slide.
Why?
Well they have to be inside and they’re very, very long so the only place they’ll fit is on my stairs.
I have visions of scraped knees, copper burnt bottoms, or, Bob forbid, impaled toys or even children, so wish me luck.
On Friday the boiler will be installed, hopefully in time for me to lock up the house, settle Miss M with her Daddy, pick Miss E up and head off to the big city to see High School Musical Live. I am so excited – I know, it’s sad. Even though it won’t be the real Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens et al, it will be live singing which I always find intriguing as I would love to have that talent. I think I sing ok, but it must be brilliant to be able to sing amazingly. Saturday sees 5 hours in Notts as Miss E rehearses for a concert next week with her friend Anna, and the same again on Sunday, so I’m building myself up to the challenge with, erm, cookies…
They’re special cookies, honest, they give you erm, super powers and stuff and have absolutely zero calories in them. Seriously, when you eat these cookies they give you super powers and make you thinner. Ok?
Sighhhh. The power of positive thinking. I can feel my ar*e shrinking already.

last summer we took K to go see a Highschool Musical production and we all had a blast. This summer the same group is doing Highschool Musical 2 we’re definitely taking K.

You are going to share the recipe for those cookies, aren’t you? It would be a sin to keep that to yourself.

Our High School Musical thing sucked arse. However, I cannot stand that shiite, so maybe it was just me – though Gilda was like, “meh” about it, too.
ANYway, hope you have a fantastic time, regardless.
(Your arse looks smaller already!)

But Jo, we all got through two large packets of double-chocolate bakery cookies yesterday, you have room for more? But then if they have weightloss effects you may need to pass me an extra bag!!! Good luck with your date with the HSM lot. I know you are more excited about this than the kids. Next week Girls Aloud and no kids!

Jo, have a fab time and those cookies… I assume they have Green & Blacks in them because of course that has the same effect…
May 7th, 2009 at 6:23 am
You made me laugh out loud at your statement of being excited, and it being sad. The reason why I laughed is because it sounds just like me! Not that I’m going to see HSM, but at the fact that I’m sad anyway.
