So, was it good?
10 years ago I wouldn’t have imagined I’d ever attend a “mainstream” music event. I suppose like most young people I was in awe of the world I was discovering and the fact I’d found a place for me in it. I was relieved I had found music I could be passionate about and a cool club I could dance my little heart out in. It meant so much to me that there were songwriters who had been through similar stuff to me and WHO could articulate these things with intelligence and humour as well as a blumming good tune.
I am an indie kid at heart and always will be, BUT,for an evening of pure girlie indulgence it doesn’t get much better than this…

Great mates. (Yeah, ignore the red cheeks, sticky out tongue and extremely odd nose close up. I’m trying to. ;D)

Stunning costumes.

Sassy costumes.

Costumes??

Brilliant choreography and flashy sets.

And, giant men swimming around and stripping down to their pants.
Sighhhhhh.
It was truly gorgeous, exhilarating, fascinating, inspiring, beautiful and fun.
Somehow these five unbelievably, some might say sickeningly attractive women manage NOT to alienate the whole of the female race, but instead make them feel TRULY fabulous about being a girl.
I’m not saying I’m going to rush out and buy all their albums and become their number one fan or anything, but I had a really, really fantastic time and it kind of surprised me.
Oh, and they make their male dancers do “I’m a Little Teapot” poses. How can you not love them?

That looks like the BEST time. You all look like you’re having real fun. Is that you in the middle? Sassy yourself!
Great shots of the stage – the costumes are brill. And I am glad they taught them little nursery rhymes to entertain little ones so girlies could have fun. It’s how it should be. ;0)

Looks like a fab time! Wish I were there… but I have never heard of them. The stage scenes reminded me of the Spice Girls concerts (no, I never went to one, but daughter was quite into them and we had all the videos).
So great you had a wonderful night out!

Kim it was really fantastic, hee hee.
Corey thank you gorgeous. Girlie mates are the best.
Thumbelina, I’m on the left with the idd looking nose etc. I was taking the pic so I think it looks not a lot like me.
And yes, very kind of them to think of the little ones.
Maureen it made me think of the Spice Girls too in that they put on a great show and it os kind of empowering in a weird way. I’m the same age as the Spice Girls but I never saw them live as I was too cool for school then and thought they were a bit cheesy. Now I KNOW they were cheesy but that it was pure pop and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Did you get any long-lense ‘arty’ shots?
Glad you had a great time.

Great post, Jo. So relieved I did not allow you to take photo of me!!!
You have failed to mention, however, that you spent the whole of yesterday afternoon and evening listening to Girls Aloud’s latest album, and you were singing along to all the words. I even think I caught you doing a little dance!
Tell me I’m wrong, Jo!!!

SPD, ahhhh sorry no mate. I only have a little digital camera. I’m sure there are websites for that kind of thing though.
Rosie, I’m fine with that. So naa naa na naa naa. ;D

Love the idea of the teapot poses (that’s always been one of my fave children’s songs).
