Miss E and her little sister and cousins are playing happily in the conservatory. The floor is barely visible beneath a pile of bricks, several partly dressed dolls and a mosaic of jigsaw pieces.
I’m vaguely aware of their chatter as my Mum and I make lunch. I’m not really listening so I miss the rest of the sentence, but two words seemed to jump out at me and slap me upside the head like a handbag full of bricks. Two words I never expected my 8 year old to say…
Miss E: “oh sh*t”

Now this brought back a memory, lol! I laughed so hard…it’s funny what our minds can conjure up when we aren’t really thinking, isn’t it? Love the cartoon…

Most of my swear words being with ‘o’, or rather, ‘oh………….’
That is very cute BTW.

You find it so cute – because it is…bless her. Love the cartoon too. I’ve overheard my little ones saying ‘bugger’ when they’ve dropped things before. I’m hoping they don’t know what it means!

Kim it was so sweet because she was totally flummoxed. Hee hee.
Sandi it is. I felt so bad. She looked all sweet and innocent and slightly wounded.
Rosie I know. I bet she’ll know swear words beginning with every letter of the alphabet…and then she’ll teach them to your child. I’m so sorry.
Maternal Tales, I just love the innocence of it. I forget that she’s still only little really as Miss M seems such a baby next to her at times. She’s an amazing kid and I’m so proud of her.
