I nicked this from the fabulous Dulwich Divorcee by way of the equally fabulous and lovely Maternal Tales.
I’m not actually here.
As in not in my house.
Well ok, I am as I write but not as you read. Ok? Good, we can move on then.
I’m actually in sunnier climes, snort. Scarborough to be precise, and as it’s unlikely I’ll have internet access, even though Single Parent Dad told me all about his dongle (Lordy), I’ve posted in advance so you don’t get withdrawal symptons or anything, and because I’m a bit OCD like that I suppose.
This the first and probably the laziest, BUT, it has the biggest feel good factor and actually made me cry. I watched it twice and it’s likely I’ll watch it again.
You’ll forgive me when you see it.
Honest.
Oh, and as Dulwich Divorcee says, ignore the ‘movie length’ bit. It’s just a few minutes long and will warm your cockles like they’ve never been warmed before.
Enjoy. Mwah.

Saw this a while ago and it made me cry then. The man you see join them is George Adamson, husband of Joy Admanson and they both were the ones who released Elsa back to the wild = Born Free. George helped reintroduce Christian to the wild. Lovely (true) story. Their familiarity and love for each other surprised even George.

PS – This is the one I saw first. Better music imho – Christian the Lion

I can’t watch it again – it’s rainy enough here – don’t need my tears to make it even wetter!! I’ll be blubbing all day if I press play…although I do like to test myself sometimes…I wonder if it will still make me cry on the third watching! Hmm….
Hope you’re having fun in Scarborough. We’re in Norfolk and it’s not exactly pleasant!

Hey.
That was supposed to be our (little) secret.
I’m using my dongle right now. Fnarr fnarr. Though it won’t allow me to experience your work to its fullest.
Stopping now.

I can’t see the clip, but that’s my rubbish connection.Have a great time in Scarborough – stuff your face with Parkin and Yorkshire Puds. I’m drooling. And what’s a dongle? Is it an animal? Does it have anything to do with chocolate?

Good job you weren’t in Scarborough last week, Picklesister and 103 of her year 6 colleagues were there. Doesn’t bear thinking about! Also please go to Flamingo Land and win yourself a 5ft cuddly flamingo. Like Picklesister did! Why should I be the only one to suffer!
