Wandering into my newly prettified bedroom (I may show it you soon as I love it), I feel a slight tug from behind and turn to see Miss M, a look of firm concentration on her face.
Miss M: Come here you little zebra.
Me: Erm pardon me?
Miss M: You’re a little zebra. You’ve got a tail.
She tugs on the back of my long smock top type thing and attempts to drag me towards her room, brown fabric bunched in her small hands and pulled over her shoulder like Santa’s sack.
Me: ”But why does that make me a zebra you mad child?”
She giggles and slides down onto her bottom, using my top as a swing. Then gives me two sharp tugs backwards.
Miss M: ”Because you’ve got a tail Mummy. It’s a zebra tail.”
I look down at my 4 year old. She’s giving me that ‘Isn’t it obvious’ look, and her face is a mixture of mischief and frustration.
Me: ”Oh right. I must be a zebra then.”
And with that she walks away.

One wonders what goes on in their heads sometimes! LOL

Dan, if she said I looked like moose I’d marvel at her intelligence. (In that she has heard of a moose, not because I actually look like one ok??) ;D
Sandi a midnight run would be fab. The wind in our manes, little zebra feet clip clopping along the pavement, sighhhh.
SPD I wanted to be one with nature. It’s a bit shabby chic but I like it. ;D And yep, that Dan has definite boar like elements.
Akela exactly. Daft things like that just make me smile so much.

I was wondering today if that was a tail you’d grown. Didn’t like to mention it in public.

Hey, at least the tail wasn’t sticking out from between your legs. My children love to comment on that!!
