Tonight we are off to see the lovely McFly.
They’ve been one of Miss E’s favourite bands for quite a while, and even her Daddy approves of them as they play their own instruments, write their own songs, and can kick out a good tune. We booked this evening’s entertainment a year ago when our circumstances were very different, but we’re still all going.
I think it’s kind of important to show our kids we can still do stuff as a family. That’s as a Mum and a Dad and our children. I’m hoping this will continue as they have a lot of ‘firsts’ still to come which neither myself or Mr B want to miss, but this is a pretty cool way to start. Fingers crossed it will be ok.
The clip below is the video for McFly’s Comic Relief song, and as well as being a fab single, there are some amusing cameos from a few UK celebrities, including Davina McCall, Fearne Cotton, Dermot O’Leary, Simon Amstell and Johnny Vegas, with Ruby Wax as the cleaning lady. If you get fed up of the intro’ move the little arrow forward to about 1:05 and the song actually starts.
Enjoy

Well, that was very enjoyable, although I only recognized Ruby Wax, but then I’m a Dutch person and I’m excused. I’m sure Miss E will be most impressed with such cute singers and entertainers. Does she have crushes yet? Now is the right moment for them. And how about you, Mum, will your heart go pitter patter?

Have fun.
I hope that PD and I can still be a family too. I’m sure you will manage it.

I recognize no one, but they’re decent for a boy band!
Then again, I have a slight buzz.
Hope you guys have fun tonight!

I like McFly too!
It’s great that you and Mr B can still get together to do things with the children.

I’ve heard of the band but wouldn’t know any of them if they fell in my soup. Anyway, hope you’re having a fabulous time and yes, time as a family is very important.
Best wishes,
CJ xx
