To bath but not to Bath

Blog

Today we should have been in Bath.

We should have been in Bath with my friend Zerilda.

We should have been in Bath with my friend Zerilda and her two kids, kids that my two kids adore, and that I kind of love too.

Bugger bugger bugger.

Instead, I plan to be in the bath with a glass of red wine and maybe some ice cream because everyone knows ice cream is good for your coccyx don’t they.

I decided as a treat to venture to a nearby garden centre for lunch with my two monkeys.  We met their fab cousins there and gambled amongst the gardeny things.  My back hurt but I soldiered on.  I have a feeling I may suffer tomorrow, but then again, Mrs S, the mother of my lovely friend Rosie brought me round a strange concoction to rub on my back and apparently it set Rosie’s Dad right in just one smear!!

So, maybe tomorrow I’ll be prancing around like a gazelle who’s had ballet and deportment lessons from Darcy Bustle – so making it extra extra graceful.  Only time will tell.  Right now I have to go as I am sat on Miss M’s floor and the small foot straining very close to my eye tells me that perhaps she is not yet asleep…

I’ve never really thought about how to spell ‘coccyx’. But that’s how to spell ‘coccyx’. I find that mildly interesting. Tell your back to stop being hurty.

    I miss Zerilda. :(
And I’m sorry to hear about your back. I hope it’s better soon. I’ve been horrible with commenting, but I’ve been feeling a bit bleh myself.

Why is Miss M’s foot straining close to your eye? Is she planning on sticking it into it? I hope you don’t get a sore eye as well as a sore back. That ointment might just work. I hope so for you, but who will rub it on? Can Miss E do that?

Yikes! Mrs Scribble has been round? And for a horrible, confusing moment I thought I read that my Dad had had a smear. I nearly had a funny turn, it’s a surreal way to start a Sunday.

Anyway, hope the smearing has helped and that my mother has not got some crazy old-wives taale in her head about potions that work. You know what she’s like – the hours before midnight are worse two after… long hair takes up all your energy etc etc etc. Hope you’ve read the label!!!!

Poor you. I hope the magic ointment works. And bugger too to missing your trip to Bath.

(PS: I zap my painful back with a Pain Gone Pen – see paingonepen.co.uk.)

Ooh that’s a real shame JO. I suffer off and on with a bad back, and I find the only thing that really works is good old fashioned, really strong painkillers.

    And a cuddle.
