Why is it that on a day when I’ve given my scraggy hair a quick spray with dry shampoo and stuck it up in one of those claspy comby things that doesn’t seem to have an actual generic name and yet when you describe it everyone knows what it is, (and breathe), why is it that that is the day when about 8 people come up to me at a Miss M’s bezzie mate’s birthday party and tell me how nice I look??
One person even used the word ‘glamorous’.
I am confused.
I mean, how bad do I normally look??

It’s probably because they heard you had crabs and feel sorry for you.
I’m not going to let this dead horse go you know.

Just take the compliments woman!
Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth and all that!

Yeah, that happens to me too. I guess it is because I always do the school run with bed head.

It’s that whole nasty, scruffy, bed-head look that you and your BFF Kate M and other supah models manage to pull off…
BTW “dry shampoo” makes me itch just hearing about it.

Around here those particular hair accessories are called “banana clips.”

It’s called a grabber in this house. I’ve also heard it called a clippy-thingy.
I’m sure you’re very glamourous. Like Kate Moss. But not.

Dear,
It’s because you are a natural beauty. Really you are….I’ve missed you but am getting into the blog groove again.
