At a similar age, my son came home complaining his shoes were pinching. He had put on another boy’s Clarks dinosaur shoes after PE, and they were a size and a half smaller. I phoned the mum, and she went to check her son’s shoes. They were the same design but didn’t belong to my son. Turned out three boys had the same shoes in the class, and they’d managed to do a 3-way swap after PE.

A little girl at Pickles school (not new, been there ages) once came dressed in red socks, red checked summer dress and red cardigan. She looked lovely. Except the school uniform is and always has been ROYAL BLUE!

My daughter is 17 she paints her shoes so each shoe of a pair looks different she wears All Stars or Adidas and she paints them and they look really smart, people stare at her shoes, some laugh some really admire them. The salesman from whom we normally buy her shoes always wonders what she is going to do to the the next pair of shoes now there are people on the internet who paint shoes for you and the shoes are different and it is expensive so it is actually a trend that is beginning.
Last time we were in Kuwait she painted her friends All Stars too and they looked beautiful and unique, one was day the other was night or something like that. they also wear different kinds of laces and ribbons and mix and match. So Miss M is actually a trend setter. This is going to last a long time as the sky is the limit with what you can do with a pair of shoes. When she is sixteen she is going to look at this pic quite proudly.
