I have learnt something tonight.
When I am feeling extremely poorly sick. And my nose is sore, and my lips are throbbing due to the amount of times they have been mistakenly caught in the hasty clearing up of a snot fountain, and my eyes sting and my ears ring and I ache like a very achey thing who has just won the ‘Achey 2009 Who is the Achiest?’ competition, it makes me feel better to make grumpy comments as I delete my spam.
- No I do not want any of your viagra. I’m a lady. Tsk.
- And you can keep your tamiflu and your aderall – whatever that is.
- What is ‘extremely gay’ anyway? I didn’t know there were levels?
- You think my forum is great and you’re going to book mark my page and return often? Yeah, I bet you are, toss bag.
- I do not have an iphone, and I really don’t care about your friend, whose friend kicked her friend’s iphone into the pool deliberately because she was like, sooooo spoilt. DO NOT CARE.
- Katherine, I do not believe you want to add my blog to your RSS feeder. I think you just want me to approve your comment so my friends will be able to get at your casino links. Or am I just being cynical?
- Mayhodia, GIVE IT UP
- I have no idea. It’s all Greek to me. (Guffaw. I crack me up).
- That joke is not funny. You are not funny. Go away.
- Ok, THAT joke actually is a bit funny. But still, go away.
- Spam
- Spam
- Spam
- delete
- delete
- delete
Sighhhhhh. That feels better.
Oh, and I’ve been asked to give my lovely US readers a heads up about the new PSA Campaign for Shelter Pet Project, aimed at increasing the rate of shelter pet adoption in the US by dispelling myths about these adorable animals. This is their ad…
In addition, the interactive Shelter Pet Project website has some great adoption resources that you can check out, like a Pet Personals matching questionnaire and e-cards to send to friends and family. http://www.theshelterpetproject.org

I highly suggest playing the Monty Python Spam song while you are doing this. Doing so just might cure your aches.
Or possibly make you laugh hard enough that your nose starts running again…

I am sorry you are suffering from what seems to be a miserable case of the flu. It’s horrible when your nose won’t quit running, isn’t it? When your kids are little, it seems you catch every bug that goes around. I’ve had my last cold more than two years ago, knock on wood. I’m hoping to get the flu shot soon.
I hope you feel better soon so you will look pretty in the morning again.

You’re hilarious when you’re sick. You actually kind of sound like me going through junk mail, or talking to other drivers from the safety and anonymity of my car….
Pet shelter ad. So funny the way you characterize Americans. But I like the campaign.

I hope you’re feeling a bit better or completely better now!
That poor doggy. *sniff*

I was trying to imagine you saying all that with a cob-ind-your-noze. Very funny indeed.
Having just adopted a rescue puppy from http://www.freewebs.com/manytearsrescue/ I can tell you there’s lots of dogs looking for good homes over here, too.

Nora thank you lovely, and that may take a while.
Charrette thanks. And this is an American ad as far as I know. We would never be so rude. ;D

Rosie, I clicked it. I am a little ashamed. ;D

I agree— you make me laugh when you are sick. But I hope you feel better soon anyway.
I can’t even watch those “adopt and animal” or “donate to a shelter” ads on TV—I change the channel. So sad.
