If you’re looking for something to keep your little darlings quiet happy on these cold dark evenings then look no further. Well ok, just a bit further …Robinson’s have launched a brilliant new site called Put On A Panto, which surprise surprise, guides your kids through all the steps it takes to ‘put on a panto.’
Misses E and M have had a quick peek and it’s looking like Cinderella may be arriving at Chez Beaufoix some time soon. I’m assuming I’ll be playing the Prince, the Fairy God Mother and the Ugly Sisters as it’s likely my two will both want to be Cinderella (though Miss E may be the zombie version). I’m thinking there’s at least a few nights entertainment per panto, and once we’ve done one I think E will want to take the helm leaving me free to chat with Rosie do very important grown up things.
And
AND, even better, to launch the new site Robinsons are running a competition to win tickets for 2 adults and 3 children to a local pantomime (or equivalent) worth up to £250.
To enter: Visit this site, then send in a picture of your favourite pantomime costume, it could be one your kiddies designed for their performance, one of you when you were a wee whipper snapper, or one from a magazine. You could even use picnik or something similar to panto yourself up…

Alternatively have your little ones draw their favourite costume and send that in. Mail the photo or scan to Susanna at amodernmother (at) gmail (dot) com with PUT ON A PANTO in the subject line.

Sounds brilliant fun.
It would be good if Robinson’s could consider backing bloggers’ Great Panto Review in any way and I am putting together an official-sounding request. If anyone from Robinson’s marketing dept in charge of “liaising with bloggers” is reading this, please see here for more info:

Omg you just made me howl. Hee hee. WHat are you like?

Nice hair. And freakishly blue eyes. Oh God, you’re going to tell me those are real, now, aren’t you?
November 25th, 2009 at 10:49 am
Heh heh, the hair is real, the eyes are fake.
I did use picnik’s air brush on my face as Princesses are meant to be flawless right?
But the blue is mine.
