Several Nottingham revellers were said to be shocked and concerned on Saturday night, when a 4 year old girl was heard discussing the abuse of an elderly street person.
The small child, dressed in jeans, a large, pink, marshmallow-like coat, Tinkerbell hat, gloves and scarf, and accompanied by an older child in a short black and red skirt, leggings, denim jacket and black beanie, was witnessed asking a rather red cheeked individual (thought to be the mother), “When will the tramp be here Mummy?”
Just minutes later the same child was seen tugging on the sleeve of an older woman wearing a long black coat, woollen scarf and hat, and clutching a black handbag (now thought to be the Grandmother), and asking her firstly if she would also be “riding the tramp”, then if she had “ever been on a tramp before” and finally asserting that when the tramp arrived she would “jump on it” and then “everybody else could too”.
Police are keen to stamp out ‘Tramp Riding’ before it is adopted by the ‘Happy Slapper’ crowd, and request that anyone recognising the above descriptions come forward to aid them with their investigation. They are especially keen to speak to the younger woman who was seen to giggle several times during this unnervingly aggressive display.
Police would also like any ‘tramps’ who consider themselves to have been ‘ridden,’ or harassed and harangued in any way by people fitting the above gang’s description, to come forward.
Or
OR
..maybe she just got the word tramp mixed up with the word ‘tram’, over and over again while waiting at the Park and Ride in Nottingham.
Maybe.

I bet it’s pretty fabulous as well though lovely. And I seem to remember it’s rather beautiful too.

Ha ha, that’s great. The poor tramp, imagine if there had really been one lying around clutching a brown paper bag with content. He would have been mighty surprised to have a group of well dressed people about to jump on him. Or at least being egged on by a little girl to. Such a cutie pie too.

I’ve been known to jump on tramps; a lot of fun.
It’s like that joke:
Every morning my dog and I go for a tramp in the woods.
“Does the dog like it?”
“Yes, but the tramp is fed up!”
Boom, boom, as Basil used to bark.
December 8th, 2009 at 10:52 am
Heh heh, I like that one. And Basil is still on unfortunately. He really annoys me. I think it’s the fact his teeth are so yellow. He almost annoys me as much as The Chuckle Brothers.

I was thinking of saying I want to ride a tramp, but then I might get offers and I don’t think I could accept. So instead I shall say kids!
