Miss M completed her first piece of written homework this week.

Is it not adorable?

And although she is almost 5 years old and therefore still really quite tiny small.

And although she says ‘mimit’ instead of minute, and ‘bursday’ instead of birthday, and ‘trump’ instead of…well ok, she has no trouble with THAT word.

Although she makes me laugh everyday, for example being distraught that the snow has gone as she was hoping to make a ‘very small snow giraffe.’  Or when I ask her a question at lunch when she is chatting to IJ and she exclaims,

Miss M:  ”Now where were we before we were so wudely interrwupted.”

Even then, with all the extreme cuteness, I have to ask this question…

Should I be worried by the disembodied head?

How cute is that?! Disembodied head and all.

My son says chimbley instead of chimney but oddly enough has no problems with the word trump either.

Well, the face is representative of the person, so I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s a portrait!

When she starts drawing bodies without heads is the time to get worried, i’d say.

It is a lovely post, Jo. I’m just hoping @LindaSJones does not stumble across it. I fear she would add something highly inappropriate!

    Oh, she’s so adorable.

I love it when they come out with grown-up phrases.

Ella says “oh, for goodness snake!” if she drops something and when I ask her to watch something for me she’ll confirm “OK mummy, I’ll keep an iron on it” (eye on it!).

Given the fact that my boys, having attempted to draw me on several occasions, have attributed me with a body the size of the paper and a pin-sized head, I have to say I am all for forsaking the torso and limbs all together!

I heard a little girl in reception on Tuesday read the story of when Mrs May loses Sniff, and Wilma helps look for the dog. I was horrified to see what Floppy was doing up against the tree in one of the pictures! ;)

Well, I wouldn’t say be worried exactly but after what they did to their cousin you might just want to hide the biggest, sharpest knives.
