It Is Bad To Eat Glass

Blog

It is generally inadvisable to eat glass.

Even if you have very thick skin.  Even if it is very thin glass.  It is still inadvisable.

You’d think as a fairly intelligent 35 year old woman (gulp) I would know that by now.

You’d think as a sensible, mature mother of two I would have the foresight to think, ‘Hmmm, eating glass is a bad thing.  It will hurt.  It will cause exclamations of “Ouch”, and “Oh bugger”  and “Oh my giddy Aunt that smarts a bit.”

And yet, that’s what I seem to have done.

Either that or I have the flu.

Bum.

So while I lay in my bed feeling really quite sorry for myself, please visit lovely Dan at  All That Comes With It to see the fab musical interlude he put together in celebration of the arrival of the blumming brilliant Xbox’s baby, Sanne.  There is even a guest appearance from my very self, as well as Single Parent Dad, lovely Heather from Notes From Lapland, a chicken, gorgeous Iota (in disguise), the brilliant Dad Who Writes (also in disguise), fabulous Catherine from Some Vague Utopia,  and Sarcastic Mom, to name but a few, as well as tons of my fellow Hadrian’s Walkers.

Go see it, it’ll warm your cockles.

    ‘Sensible, mature mother of two.’

Well, I’ll tentatively accept the last part as gospel, but come on, who are you trying to kid?

Poor Jo. Hope that glass turns to sand and whisks away quickly…or something. Hmm…that sounded much cleverer in my head…

I LOVED that video and couldn’t stop watching it. It seemed to me to encapsulate everything that is good about blogging – the originality, the creativity, the way strangers care about each other. Fab fab fab.

(I also noticed that there were 3 technophobic still photos in amongst all the videos – 2 of them were by people over the age of 60ish and the other was me!)

It was a mango, by the way. That WAS Fatso Mango!
