A Moment to Ponder

Blog

I’ve spent the last few days with friends while Misses E and M have been at Daddy’s. It’s been a really lovely weekend including a drunken meal putting the world to rights, a stroll by the canal, and letting off a beautiful lantern into a clear midnight sky dotted with stars.  I’m tired, but it’s that ‘full’ tired that comes from fresh air and good company.

Coming home today to two happy little girls, it seems as if spring is here to meet us. Three tiny snowdrops have braved the still cold weather in our small garden.  Mr Z is trying out his new run and having his first taste of grass, and Misses E and M are reacquainting  themselves with the trampoline.  It’s so good to see colour in their cheeks and smiles on their faces.

It’s times like this that make you realise life is pretty good really.  I have two little girls who love and are loved, and we have a home where we feel safe and well.  It isn’t a bad place to be.

A drunken meal putting the world to rights? Surely you needed me there for that one?!

How lovely. I think a break like that is good to recharge the batteries and take stock.

It was. And we have sunshine this morning so I think we’ll be in the garden tonight. It’s weird but I feel all releived. It’s so good to be able to let them play in the garden again. They were like a couple of puppies.

Hooray for spring. Definitely the time for making you feel better about the world. But a couple of days doing something different is also brilliant for that too – what do they say? A change is as good as a rest?

Glad you are feeling all positive about life. x

They do don’t they? In the park we went to they had cordoned off a whole area of grass that was covered in crocuses and snowdrops. It was so so lovely that someone had thought to protect them.

I love the first tiny fragile flowers of spring. That is nature showing us the meaning of hope. :)

Thank you. You’ve reminded me I must count my blessings a bit more often.

I bought a new lipstick today. A sure sign that spring is here!
