Ex Mum in Law: ”What a shame.”
Me: “What’s that?”
Ex Mum in Law: ”You’ve got ugly corn-covered feet like me Jo.”
Me: ”Mmmm, heh heh”.
And I’m thinking, ‘What the F*ck? I never knew there was anything wrong with my blumming feet I actually thought they were ok! Tsk.’
So come on, is there??

They look pretty normal to me in a kind of pale, slightly bendy toed, a bit of dry skinned (bleurghhh) foot kind of way. The toe next to my little one on my right foot was broken in an unfortunate falling down the stairs moment when I was 35 weeks pregnant with Miss M, but otherwise they’re pretty much as nature intended.
Are they that bad?
Would they scare small children?
Are you struggling to hold onto your lunch??
And, (showing my ignorance here), are those corns on my little toes?
Oh, and erm, enjoy…

This post was written for lovely Tara’s Week 6 Gallery theme, ‘Ugly’ over at Sticky Fingers. Head over there and take a look at all the uglies joining in this week. I’m actually heading over there in person tomorrow with Rosie Scribble, AND we’re going to meet a whole group of fabulous bloggers.
I CAN NOT WAIT
NB I was going to post a picture of my ceiling which is still very much ‘ugly’ due to an extremely slow insurance company, grrrrrr, but I thought my feet would be uglier. :D

From one who suffers hammertoe syndrome, I deem your feet mighty darned cute! The ceiling may have been uglier lol

Ouch, poor lovely. Hope it’s not too painful. x
April 6th, 2010 at 9:15 pm
I think the ceiling would have been uglier.
Can you all, please, stop getting together over there. It’s really unfair on the expats.
April 13th, 2010 at 4:14 pm
Awwww hon it will be your turn soon. x
April 7th, 2010 at 12:27 am
I went with my feet! Yours are nicer than mine x
April 13th, 2010 at 4:15 pm
I bet they’re not. I don’t get toe sucking though, even if you have the toes of a goddess. Not that I think you’re into that or anything, but just because we’re on the subject of toes.
April 7th, 2010 at 12:41 am
God Jo – you think your feet are bad? Let me tell you, compared to mine, they’re angel’s tootsies! (And me, jealous of your blogger meet-up? Not much… Think of me whilst you’re drinking your tea and swapping stories!)
April 13th, 2010 at 4:16 pm
Potty you were thought of and your fabulousness was discussed. Hope you’re ok. Thought of you when I heard about the plane crash and when Tara mentioned the bomb. I seemed to have missed that. So sad. x
April 7th, 2010 at 2:52 am
Ugly? With such beautifully painted nails? Your feet have NOTHING on mine.
enjoy the bloggy meet up. Can’t wait to actually get back to the UK for longer than 48 hours and meet some people too. x
April 13th, 2010 at 4:17 pm
Won’t be long now. We need photos of that meet up please lady. x
April 7th, 2010 at 4:17 am
Hehehee
But your toots are fine, toots.
You may have inspired me to paint my toenails too!
April 13th, 2010 at 4:18 pm
Yay, painted toe nails are fab. And my sister and I call each other ‘Toots’ sometimes. It’s a Bash Street Kids thing.
April 7th, 2010 at 6:26 am
Your feet are much prettier than mine, great nail colour too. Hope you’ve had a great day. :0)
April 13th, 2010 at 4:19 pm
Nova thanks, and it was the best day. I love it when people live up to your expectations in all the good ways. x
April 7th, 2010 at 7:29 am
You’ve got nothing on my feet…my toes are like fingers!
Cheers,
Chrissie (www.mediocremum.com)
April 13th, 2010 at 4:20 pm
Wow, but does that mean you can pick stuff up and play the piano?? That would be cool.
April 7th, 2010 at 9:03 am
Looks painful!!
April 13th, 2010 at 4:20 pm
Snort, only if I wear heels.
April 7th, 2010 at 10:48 am
oohh I’m not keen on feet!!
Your toenails are a nice colour though
April 13th, 2010 at 4:21 pm
Thanks Nickie. I’m not too keen on feet either, but I like painting my nails.
April 7th, 2010 at 11:18 am
Would definitely not scare small children
April 13th, 2010 at 4:22 pm
Awwww thanks Heidi.
April 7th, 2010 at 11:36 am
I’ve seen a lot worse! Why is everyone posting feet this week? They’re not that bad, really they’re not.
April 13th, 2010 at 4:23 pm
Hee hee, thanks Victoria. I didn’t think they were either till ex m-in -law maligned them. Tsk.
April 7th, 2010 at 11:38 am
Well, they’re better looking than mine – although I’m training for a marathon so that might not be saying much! I do have a lovely black toe courtesy of about 3 blood blisters all on top of them. I have a similar shade of nail varnish on my toes to try and detract attention!
April 13th, 2010 at 4:24 pm
Ooohh brilliant. I’m training for Hadrian’s Walk. Or I will be…gulp. I dare say after the walk my toes will look quite scary. They may even fall off. Good luck with your marathon.
April 7th, 2010 at 11:55 am
I think they’re rather cute. And I’m digging that nail varnish. What’s it called?
April 13th, 2010 at 4:25 pm
I think it’s called ‘Manhattan’. I have no idea why, but I love it Becks. It’s kind of pretty but slightly rock chick.
April 7th, 2010 at 11:57 am
The ceiling is definitely worse! Your feet are just fine – maybe MiL was jealous..
April 13th, 2010 at 4:26 pm
My ceiling is very ugly. My toes are feeling decidedly less so after this post though veryanniemary. Thanks.
April 7th, 2010 at 12:10 pm
Now I quite like feet, not in a fetish sort of way, and I am always impressed with nail polish on toes, a skill I have never mastered. So no. Not ugly in the slightest.
April 13th, 2010 at 4:27 pm
Awwww, next time we meet we could all paint toe nails. ;D Or would that be weird??
April 7th, 2010 at 1:46 pm
I think your toes are very pretty.
April 13th, 2010 at 4:27 pm
Ahhhh thanks Barbara.
April 7th, 2010 at 3:06 pm
Imagine what your feet will look like after walking 80-odd miles. That’ll be a photo and a half!
April 13th, 2010 at 4:28 pm
Yup, and I WILL post it.
April 7th, 2010 at 3:26 pm
I can’t believe you just showed us feet!
(Weren’t feet banned from this one anyway?)
April 13th, 2010 at 4:29 pm
Mwah ha ha haaaaaa. I laugh in the face of ‘bannings’.
April 7th, 2010 at 10:19 pm
at least I don’t see toenail fungus……sigh…..
April 13th, 2010 at 4:29 pm
Eughwwwwww. Corey, now that would be ugly. x
April 8th, 2010 at 10:14 am
Ummmm gad no…. your feet are perfect compared to mine.
Which is why I hide them permanently in socks.
Even in summer.
What a nice Ex-MIL… NOT!
April 13th, 2010 at 4:30 pm
maureen get em out. Give them freedom. Ignore all the gits and their foot snobbery. Tsk.
April 9th, 2010 at 5:41 am
LOL I think you’ve got perfectly passable flip flop feet for when you come to Florida later this month. Hope we get the chance to meet up when you’re here in my neck of the woods!
April 13th, 2010 at 4:31 pm
That would be so cool. And I need to get some flipflops or nice sandals actually. ;D
