Lost Property

Never, no never, have I ever been drunk enough that I need to be reminded of where I am by reading it on a toilet door.
Or maybe they have a problem with lavatory door hustlers in Southwell and this is meant to be a deterrent?  Perhaps the gold rubs off on your hand and cannot [...]

Can’t believe I’m blogging in a mosh pit

Having a wicked time at Splendour.  Terrorvision are hilarious, Ok Go were fab, The Leisure Society are fabulous and Athlete and the Noisettes were pretty cool too.  Shed Seven up next and finishing with a huowge slice of cheese in The Pet Shop Boys.
I love my mates.

The Gallery – A Walk in the Woods

The woods.

At other times it is dark and chill.  Cold eyes watch from predatory shadows. [...]

Not dead

Hellooooooo.
I haven’t  been kidnapped, imprisoned, or silenced by a large bandana wearing bullock, I promise.
But I have been cuddling, playing, party attending, cuddling, laughing, and cuddling my girls, sorting my not quite finished kitchen (still), and nursing my post Hadrian’s Walk aches and pains.
I’m not sure if I can put into words what Hadrian’s Walk [...]

Hadrian’s Walkers Attacked by Rabid Hamster

Ok, not actually true, but it made you read right?
Day 4 and we walked.
It hurt.
My toe is almost flayed.
I hurts.
Too tired to say anything else.
Except we bumped into Paul Daniels and his wife Debbie McGee and we shared a mars bar.
44 miles done, 30 left to do. Please sponsor me if you can. [...]

Blogger Kidnaps Wallaby

Blogger and Mum, Jo Beaufoix, is thought to be on the run somewhere in ‘The North’ with her two young children, a couple of kit kats and a stolen wallaby.

The young marsupial is believed to have been stolen from Busch Gardens ‘Walkabout Way’ where it is thought Ms Beaufoix enticed young Beryl with a couple [...]

Was Hadrian a bricky?

Sitting here in Grantham station after my superhero Dad rushed me to Nottingham station due to a cancelled train (Thanks so much Blumming Robinhood Line), it is the first time I have actually though deeply about ‘the wall’.
I mean, I know the basic history, but to be honest I’ve not looked into it further and [...]

The Ugly Duckling

When I was a little girl I had a book called something like, ‘The Most Beautiful Child’.
In the book, a peacock has forgotten to send his child with their lunch so he asks his friend the owl to take it into school as she is heading that way.
“But how will I know which [...]
