Tonight and tomorrow night we are communing with nature in the Peak District. Surrounded by cows, sheep, pigs and a very lovely shire horse, Misses E, M and myself are so far having a fab time.
I’m hoping the farm machinery will stop at some point in the next hour or so, but in the mean time, my monkeys are asleep, and I have wine and chocolate and a good book.
Perfect.

Wine and chocolate make farm machinery more bearable, up to a point. Well, you do want to go to sleep eventually.

I know, and we didn’t. Blumming quarry. We still had a fab time at Gulliver’s Kingdom the next day though. It was fab and it’s such a gorgeous part of the country. x

Oh, this all sounds like a chunk of heaven.

It is except for the noise. I feel so sorry for the owners. The farm next door has sold off some land nd there are two new quarries, one of which isn’t obeying noise abatement rules. They’ve got an ongoing case but it’s taking a loooooong time. It’s such a gorgeous site; I really hope they win.

Hee hee, that’s actually the shire horse’s field and she’d gone in for the night. The cows were on the other side and were quite chatty.

Has someone removed the E from that sign?
