An Apology

Blog

Last month we were asked if we might like a box of ingredients so we could get cooking and help launch the Tesco Great Christmas Cupcake decorating competition.  It arrived and sat on the table in the dining room eyeing me disapprovingly, piling on the guilt.

But you see

Misses E and M have been poorly

and then we were snowed in for almost 2 weeks

and they didn’t send any cupcake cases in the box or we’d have done it then

and then it was my Dad’s birthday

and my brother’s

and my sister had a baby

and my car needed fixing

and a mahoooooosive great moose jumped on my blow-up-back-garden and burst all my prize geraniums

We did make some cakes with the goodies provided

and they were the best cakes ever

and then I checked the web page to add the link, and…we missed it!   The  competition ended on November 29th, the winners were picked on December 10th, and I feel bad.

But the cakes were yummy and we really enjoyed it so at least I can let you know that the site exists and that it’s actually really lovely and worth looking at, especially the cooking with kids bit.

There, I feel much better now.

And, erm, sorry Tesco.

I’m sorry, JoBo, but the moose just didn’t cut it. TWO WEEKS snowed in and no cupcakes? The shame.

I love it! Where can I get me one of those ‘blow-up back gardens’. I don’t need the moose. Who does these days?

Having grown up in the proximity of wayward meese (as my father used to say), I think he would crush more than your geraniums. You are lucky to have survived! ;)
