When shops offer you gift vouchers to test a service it would be silly to say no right? Say if they were offering vouchers off your shopping, and vouchers off your readers’ shopping, and it’s from the store you spend a huge amount of your time in – especially in the cafe – as it’s right near your kids’ school so it’s ripe for a cuppa of a morning? It would be WRONG to say no.
Well Tesco have done just that, AND they’ve offered me voucher codes for 10 of my readers to receive £12 off their first £50 online shop, so if you’ve never ventured into the virtual world of tesco.com, now’s your chance to do it and save some dosh too!
Tesco have created a list of all the benefits of using tesco.com, but I have kindly created my own version for your entertainment and education – no need to thank me
Fabulous things about doing your Tesco shop online…
- you don’t have to brush your hair or even get dressed really
- you spend less as the double chocolate torte doesn’t call to you from the chilled section and that fresh bread smell is not being pumped into your house (unless you have just baked fresh bread, have a fresh bread air freshener, or have a weird affliction where your body produces the smell of fresh bread whenever you are sat at your computer).
- there are no squabbling kids sneaking things into your trolley or making you push the car-trolley that weighs a ton and never quite goes in the direction you have pointed it
- there is no risk of attracting odd random strangers who decide to tell you their life story while you’re attempting to choose the correct flow of tampon or buying verruca plasters
- and you will receive a complementary visit from a celebrity of your choice who will tidy your house, run you a hot bath and sing you a medley of Foster and Allen songs till you fall gently into a blissful sleep
NB One of the above is a lie
How to enter
If you’d like to save £12 on your first £50 online shop with Tesco, all you have to do is:
- leave me the name of your favourite fruit or vegetable (and nothing else) in the comment section below, for one entry
- tweet the post with the hashtag #jobeaufoixisatescotart to gain a second entry
Either Miss E, Miss M or one of the gerbils will draw 10 winners from a hat and I’ll send you your codes as soon as I have them.
In the mean time, to help you get started, there is a Welcome Tour video to show how you can use all the great money saving features on Tesco.com. And you can sign up here. It’s really easy to use and if you register your clubcard too you won’t even have to browse for the stuff you usually buy, it will automatically bring up a list of all your past purchases under ‘favourites’. You just pick a 2 hour delivery shop, then click away to your hearts content. I’ve used it loads and my experience has always been positive.
Other information
Competition is only open to UK readers
If a name is drawn twice a new name will be drawn to give 10 readers the opportunity
I do not actually have a verruca
PS I’m not back online yet but we’re in (I assume). This is a sceduled post. How organised am I? That’s what happens when you move house twice in less than two years. Gulp.
RESULTS
Thanks for your entries everyone. Voucher codes have been sent out to all of you and I hope you enjoy them.
My recent Tesco shop was fab and even though my internet went down half way through, lovely Tesco’s new updates meant they saved my order till I could log back on the next day which was such a relief. The service really has improved. They also texted me to tell me the hour my shopping would be delivered so that my 2 hour slot became one and I could get on with some other stuff. Fabulous.

So glad to hear you are in! No vegetable name here as I will leave the vouchers for others. I had to decipher your hashtag and then it made me laugh.
